5 Minute Freewrite - Bronze Door Knockers

Once upon a time, in a small village nestled deep within the enchanted forest, there stood an old cottage. Its wooden exterior wore the patina of age, and a bronze door knocker adorned its entrance. The knocker was shaped like a wise owl with piercing eyes that seemed to hold a secret.

Legend had it that the bronze door knocker possessed magical powers. It was said that anyone who touched it with a pure heart and a genuine desire would be granted a single wish. Over the years, villagers had tried their luck, but the door knocker remained silent, guarding its mystical essence.

One day, a young girl named Eliza came across the cottage during her exploration of the forest. She was a curious soul with a heart full of kindness. Intrigued by the tales, she approached the door and gently rapped the bronze knocker.

To her surprise, the owl's eyes glimmered, and the door creaked open. Standing before her was a wise old wizard. He smiled and said, "Your wish, my child?"

Eliza's eyes sparkled with innocence as she replied, "I wish for the power to bring happiness to everyone I meet."

Impressed by her selfless wish, the wizard granted her request. From that day forward, wherever Eliza went, she radiated warmth and kindness, spreading joy and happiness to all she encountered.

The cottage with the bronze door knocker became a place of wonder and hope, reminding everyone of the magic that lies within a pure heart and the power of granting wishes with selfless intentions.
