Seventh Birthday with Treats & Tricks of Traditional Games

A gloomy weather we have here in Philippines Bulacan. I'm a bit smiling because reaching the seventh month of the year without having a tropical storm is a big relief. But then after the news said that there were two tropical cyclone outside our country. It said that it has the strength of Yolanda I can imagine how our water world will look like if it hits our place.

But before continuing the worries and fuss about let me share my god daughter's seventh Birthday. I'm already 35 years old and still don't know why important is to celebrate when a child turns seven. Anyways let's attend the party. First the invitation. Hubby said we don't need to buy a gift for the child. He just gave a 500.00 pesos put in the ampao and gave it to the celebrant. It's more realistic the kid will surely know what to buy in her present age.

My kumare's house looks much prettier with the simple decor. She is so busy when we arrive at her place.

The program, the wishes and prayers for the kid are the most important. And of course we sung a happy birthday song 🥳.

After I gave the gift 🎁 I asked my god daughter to have some pictures with us. Ria looks envy with the crown LoL 😅. But my god daughter is happy with her pretty Ninang lol.

After we ate palabok, Shanghai, puto or rice cake and ice cream. A game was about to start and we Filipinos are sure familiar with this stuff.

Pabitin

Looked at Ria looks really quiet but very well prepared to grab some goodies 😉. I can't stand looking at the kids, my back neck are getting achy seeing them. They are sincerely waiting for the treats to come down. Luckily got one bag of loop bag full of treats for her sweet tooth. We sat back on our place and Ria ate her snack. She even share it with others.

Pok-Puk Palayak

This game is my favorite and hated of all I got old and still haven't hit one 😅. The trick is you can spot the pot where it hanged but you'll be blind folded and turned around three times. Who won't be dizzy with that. Another trick the pot can also be adjust; so when the first kid will be able to hit it right away the man will pull the pot and it will surely missed 😅. You can tell where the it needs to go whether its left or right, back or front and when it's nearer yell puk-pok. The safety; when it's definitely far a wood will be the pretending pot. You'll happened to hear if you just a hit a pot or a wood. Let's see Ria if she can hit the pot. But of course she didn't LoL and I wasn't able to took pictures after the pot has been broken. I was busy collecting treats too.

We said goodbye now because it's getting late Ria also finished all the games. Pabitin and Puk-pok playok besides I've just left my eldest to guard the house. His aunt gave us pancit palabok and a loop bag for Ria.
