ASEAN Hive Community Challenge #136 Interesting Facts

Blessed Sunday @asean.hive family. I know you're all familiar with the place I have, aside from calling it water world I didn't bother to discover the facts around it. It's far different from the place I've grown. But for sir @justinparke community challenge I've made my research about the special stuff in these place.

Calumpit was the first town established in the province of Bulacan and the fourth on the island. It was the capital of Bulacan during the Spanish colonial period.

Name The town's name comes from the Calumpit hardwood trees that grow in front of the Calumpit Catholic Church.

Historical landmarks
Calumpit is home to several historical landmarks, including the St. John the Baptist Parish Church.

I don't know if this is the tree that the fact was talking about. But we rarely go to this church to attend mass it's a 4 kilometer one way before reaching it. We need money for transportation, we also have a small church in our barangay. But this church is different it's big, it's wide, I can feel the presence of God even more. The photos was taken by my daughter @katsuki29. She and her friends dropped by and took pictures while it's night time.
When it comes to food; what I found in this place is their Longganisang Calumpit

Calumpit longganisa, also known as longganisang bawang (lit. "garlic longaniza"), is a Filipino pork sausage originating from Calumpit, Bulacan, Philippines. It is a type of de recado longganisa. It is made with lean pork, pork fat, garlic, bay leaves, brown sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, salt, black pepper, paprika, and optionally, chili.

I swear that Longganisang Calumpit is really delicious. My brother-in-law that lives in Manila bothers my husband to bought one kilo of each available flavors of it. I also grew in Manila when I see sausage I prefer the red one. I taste it before and I didn't like it. It's dry and the flavor is just like an ordinary pork. But this one; even my kid's love it, after I fry the Longganisa we get a little oil from it and put it to our rice. While the dipping sauce it can be fresh, fried or boiled tomatoes and fish sauce. You can't go wrong with these sausages.
While the sweet is best for the kids I slow cooked it so it'll be sure that I won't burn the sausage. I'm not a fan of spicy so I'll pass, but my husband loves spicy food.
