I took a look at your account, and it looks like you've been accumulating a yield on your Hive Power (HP) for quite a while now! And, you've begun the process of powering down, so will get liquid HIVE tokens in your wallet every week, for the next 13 weeks.
Your question is, how do you get those to an exchange? But I'm not sure what your goal is. Do you want to turn your HIVE into money in a traditional bank account, or do you want to turn it into another cryptocurrency, like Bitcoin?
The process for converting it to Bitcoin is made pretty simple, and there are lots of options you can use. I often use Changelly - this referral link will lower your fees for the first week after you use it. If you're just looking to get your HIVE to Bitcoin, you're done! Pretty simple.
If you're trying to get your HIVE into your bank account, look for an exchange company that will let you deposit BTC and trade it for your local currency. If you can't find that, look for an exchange that that will let you deposit USDT and convert that into USD which can be transferred out to a currency exchange.
USDT is on Ethereum and similar chains; if you can find an exchange that works on the Arbitrum mainnet, it has lower transaction fees, and you can use your HIVE to get the necessary Arbitrum ETH to be able to finance the transactions.
Proper crypto use says you should always transfer to your personal wallet, not direct between exchanges. Otherwise you risk losing money to the void. But, you can just send between exchanges if you're unable to set up a personal wallet for whatever reason.
So, once you have your exchange in mind, go ahead and set up a personal wallet for whatever chain you'll be using: I use Metamask because it's simple. If you're using Arbitrum, you'll need to add that chain to the wallet - Metamask's website has up-to-date documentation on this.
The next step is to use some of your HIVE to buy 60 LEO tokens, so you can use the Arbitrum Gas Faucet they run to get enough Abitrum ETH to complete the transfers. For that you'll need to use uSwap to turn your HIVE into SWAP.HIVE and then TribalDex to either swap or trade your SWAP.HIVE for LEO.
Once you have your personal Arbitrum wallet set up, and 60 LEO in your Hive Engine wallet you can use LeoDEX to convert your HIVE into USDT, making sure to pick Ethereum or Arbitrum correctly.
Have it send the USDT to your personal wallet. Once it's arrived, you can send it to your exchange wallet, and from there, withdrawal it to your bank!
There's a lot of steps to this process and a lot that can go wrong, so make sure you clearly understand what's going on, and consider testing with smaller amounts to make sure it works how you expect before continuing.
Personally, I would try and find a way to convert BTC into local currency, and then use Changelly to get the HIVE converted into BTC. A lot fewer steps, but relies on having access to a direct bridge between bitcoin and fiat currency, which can be difficult depending on regulations.
thanks for your answer.Yes i started powering down. That worked with the old layout. i now opened my account with InLeo and it seems as its gonna work with sending it to an exchange. its been a long time since i visited the (Steem) HIVE platform the last time. on the old layout,(Blocktrades) was the exchange page for sending or receiving funds. Thanks once again for your quick and extended help.Kind Regards Urs
