Crocheted Pineapples Keychain

Portada de Piñas.jpg

I wish you all a great day in the Hive community, this time I want to tell you about some crocheted pineapple keychains that I made a few weeks ago, observing other crocheted pineapple keychains, of all sizes that people have made, I got inspired and I made some keychains, although I could not take a picture of the whole process, here is the explanation:

I decided to use yellow yarn and I started the knitting by making a magic ring to form a circle of 6 half stitches on it, at the end of the round, I go up 2 chains so that the next round is also with half stitches and with an increase in each stitch, therefore it would remain in a circle with 12 half stitches.

Piñas - 1.jpg

Next, I go up 3 chains to start working the next round with pillars, looking to recreate the shape of the pineapple, I made 6 pillars that flowed and were anchored in a single stitch, to recreate the slightly bulky shape of the pineapple, I repeated this procedure in 6 of the 12 stitches that had the base of the circle, and leaving between them a separating chain to complete the 12 spaces, this allowed a texture that I loved. Here are some pictures:

Piñas - 2.jpg

I repeated the procedure only 2 more times, to have a total of 3 rounds of high stitches to recreate the body and texture of the crocheted pineapple, I filled it with cotton and to close at the top I used a dark green thread, with which I made 2 rounds reducing the stitches of the fabric, on top of that green fabric I began to make the shape of leaves knitted in a very improvised way, so that they would stand out. In general they had a height of 7 chains, of which 5 were high stitches and 2 were medium or low stitches. I made a total of 6 crocheted leaves, and I sewed the ring of the keychain right there.

The yellow thread is Colombian crochet thread, and the green thread is pabilo thread.
The keychain measures 10cm high by 5cm wide.

The photos were taken by me, and I also made the collages; if you like you can follow me on my social networks:

These keychains are absolutely fantastic. The detail and choice of colors make them stand out. I love how you've captured the texture of a real pineapple and great work on the leaves too. Keep up the great work.
