Sewing a short pants for my neighbor's little princess, through My experience.

Happy and blessed Wednesday to you all, how are you enjoying this week, i hope everything is fine and you are doing fine good, thisbis my first time posting here and I'm really excited to join this great platform, hope I'm welcome, it a pleasure to share with you all on how i cut and sew this short pants for my neighbor's little princess, through My experience and it came out nicely.

What are the challenges and difficulties you faced in cutting, and what are your experience in it?

Cutting is the most difficult part in life, i have been facing some challenges and difficulties in cutting of a short pants and trousers, the main part is the crotch area.
As we all know that the crotch area parts in short pant or trousers is the particular part where the legs meet and the fabric or any materials covers the areas between the thighs and the waistband, it's crucial for comfort and movement, let believe that if the crotch area is not directly fixed properly it will affect the waistband and the particular area will not move and free, i always had problem on the crotch area, **I don't know if this issues comes your way before you become a professional tailor or seamstress.

I experience this for a very long time now then i keep on trying because there's no harm in trying, some few months ago one of my neighbor gave me this beautiful fabric to sew a short pants and shirt for her one year six months year old princess.

Due to the problem i had on the crotch area, i kept the fabric and keep on trying on how to make the crotch area perfectly, so i went to the nearby Tailor's shop and i told him that i had a problem on trousers crotch area and it been a while since i tryed but i couldn't make it, he was like laughing at me, then i looked so confused and i asked him what is funny, he quickly told me that a problem shared is a problem solved, that was funny 😂😂😂

I folded the material i went with by two then shows me the step so i realized that the area was based on my wrong cutting, he told me that once i cut out the front crotch then i should put some inches allowance at the back crotch, because i always cut out the both crotch area so small that the reason it could not be free and fit, so i took the experience to correct my mistakes.
Although i lost my sewing machine and i always joined with a friend of mine sometimes i have sewing work to do.

So i folded the fabric by two and took in the necessary measurements, then for the crotch area i was extremely careful to avoid mistakes, i was using the main fabric and that. Was so risky, i took the crotch length then for the width i divided her laps by two then i cut it out.

I folded the fabric again by two then placed the front on it, i added 2 inches allowance for the crotch area to be free for movement through the experience i got, then after that i cut the back part out.

I now went and joined the front and back crotch together.

After that i joined the body then i continue bending the waistband for elastic and the down part hem.

After that i passed in elastic through the waistband for the size of the waist and close the waistband open part.

The short pant is very simple it didn't took much time to finish it, so here is the outcome of the short pant.

The short came out nice and the most part i was targeting came out nice, so free and fit, My experience helps me a lot because through this experience i will be able to sew more short pants and long trousers and now I'm still learning more on men trousers.
