Visiting Grandma after Typhoon Odette
Hi Hivers! This is a throw back that I'll be sharing this time when I was visiting my grandma after the typhoon Odett. We made sure our families were safe and then we also grabbed the oppurtunity driving around and visiting places to see what's left and how vast was the damaged.
Remember, that brought really huge devastation; peoples' lives, properties, even animals, farming, trees and everything and everywhere it hits. After that one fateful day, electricity went off and phone signal services were off too!
Thankfully, my grandma and relatives were spared from that typhoon. We couldn't sit still in the house and my mom wanted to check around as she love natures. Together with my cousin, we visited Niludhan falls. My mom used to be here but she love going back every time we've got the chance. As you noticed, the waterfalls was badly affected. It was washed out even the hardest and biggest boulders along the rivers and so were the cottages too that were situated that provide shelter for the guest, All washed out! But still we got to enjoy what's left.
We love water and splished-splashed like happy birds. Could have stayed hours until our lips turn purple. the water was very cold and refreshing. We enjoyed it so much.
There are "sari-sari" store at the entrance to the waterfalls. We bought some drinks and snacks because we were hungry after the cold swim.
Ducking under a large fallen trees was required but we chose the opposite. We tried to go over it, testing our skills. we are good in balancing so that wasn't a problem.
The once beautiful entrace to the waterfalls was now like badly ruined. It would take many years for the trees to grow back and become green again. It was a sad feeling.

We also visited my grandpa's grave.
It took 3 weeks before the electricity was restored in my grandma's place. We had fun with my colusins even then. It's fun to just watch the candles glowing whilst it's eating itself. Of course we did not touch it because we are told not to and I understand the consequence and are my cousins.
I'm looking forward to seeing them all soon again. And hoping that by the time we get back trees get a little better and Oh! Lot's of plantition in the farm do not produce harvest for many months because it was damaged before it matured. So hoping my grandma's coffee farm will have plenty of coffee beans again. Hopefully things gets better for everyone.
Were you badly affected by Odette typhoon too?
Thanks for checking my blog. I hope you learn something from my post .
Things will get better soon and for sure makaka bawi rin kayo. Ang mahalaga buhay tayong lahat at babangon tayong lahat.
We are still lucky . Salamat poh.

Thank you. Yes it is. You should visit this place on rainy days.😁
What's good about having no electricity and internet, we get to bond more with people around.
