Hello. I'm going to paint a cute kitty today. I guess I'Il position it here. This is the head. After drawing a center line, position the eyes. Make the places for the nose and mouth with double ovals. The ears are placed where the vertical lines of the face are extended. Make sure the
basic shape of the kitty is precisely captured. The neck is rather thick...and the head is placed on it. In the middle of the center line is the nose.. and the eyes are positioned on the extended lines of the nose. Make the mouth rather small. Now that the drawing is finished...let's start painting. Spread some water on the surface...
.with the use of the wet-in-wet method. You don't need to paint details from the beginning. Whatever you paint,remember this is watercolor painting. Make sure the effects of watercolor are fully utilized. Use thick and plenty color...and paint boldly like this. This also epresents the pattern of the tabby cat's fur. Well then?The light is shining from top right. So the other side is in
the shade. But the image of the kitty can blend in the background.....because the details can be added later little by little. Add some dark colors without hesitation to let the kitty stand out......in this way. Now let's start drawing more details....ike the eyes....and the nose.See doesn't it look like a kitty? Darker tones need be
used on the shady side.....to strengthen the
stereoscopic effect. I'l keep adding especially dark colors. Because we are looking up at the cat, the upper lines of the eyes should be reinforced. Now... Why don't| add the pupils now? Cats have extremely unique pupils.
Draw the dots at the roots of the whiskers like this. The whiskers and other detailed furs are painted with gouache in white. Like this. What do you think? lsn't it coming along? When the color of blood is added., then it's done! Today I've painted a portrait of a cute kitten.To capture the shape of the head..,..draw a flat oval that's on top of a cylinder-shape neck. The shapes of
the mouth and nose are represented with double ovals.Because the kitten is being looked up at from below, all the facial features are arranged a little higher than normal.
