Another pleasant surprise by Netflix!
This is something I was discussing with @cmmemes the other day. Netflix keeps surprising me with one good production after the other, instead of one poop after the other...
All my recent watches have been golden. All Quiet on the Western Front, 1899, the Dahmer monster.. All masterpieces!
And now I just finished another great mini documentary series that I highly recommend. You may remember the story if you are old enough. I know I did, it was in the news even way way far from the U.S.
"Pepsi, Where's My Jet?" tells the story of that crazy kid that tried to earn the jet Pepsi "jokingly" (but with no disclaimer) offered to any one who managed to collect a crazy amount of Pepsi points by buying their product.
Tldr, the kid refused a decent settlement of 1 million $ and took the legal road to earn what RIGHTFULLY was his.
When a 20-year-old attempts to win a fighter jet in a Pepsi sweepstakes, he sets the stage for a David versus Goliath court battle for the history books. source
I got really sucked in this show. It's not just a David vs Goliath story. It's the story about a great journey. A story about establishing life long friendships and sworn enemies. A story about not being a sell out but instead going for your dreams. Crazy as they may be. At the end of the day...even if you disagree you can but only cheer for our hero!
The show kept reminding of a great verse by a great Greek poet

The kiddo didn't reach Ithaka. But he did have a long voyage. Full of adventures. Full of discovery. And sometimes that's more than enough.
An easy 9/10 from me. Yeah.. I may be biased cause I love underdogs... But who doesn't?

It sounds very interesting that series at the moment I'm without Netflix but I hope to quickly reactivate it, but it looks pretty good and I know it comes from you as a good recommendation, I like it because always in your publications you are very clear and precise when giving your opinion and details of something.
I think you have a recent publication which I have not seen, I think it is about coins but I'll pass to see it just that I was going through my recent content to see comments.

That's what I was noticing Netflix Getting quite Much better than Flops.
The last documentary I watched was about space and been quite long. This one sounds Pretty interesting Gonna add this on watch list.
maybe netflix have realized that producing large quantities of absolute dog shit is bad for business, shocking I know :)

What's crackin'? I had you on my mind last night as we loaded up Netflix and watched the first episode of Dahmer. Golly we were hooked from the start; waiting for tonight to get into Episode 2! We've been off Netflix for about 6 or 7 months, and can't believe how much new content there is!
