Super Mario Kart Drivers Sighted in Tokyo [Urban Photography Contest - Week 1]
This photo was taken next to the National Museum of Nature and Science, in Tokyo. I'm submitting this shot to the Urban Photography Contest - Week 1 hosted by @manoldonchev.
A certain morning in Tokyo, as I was walking around, I spotted a few Kart Drivers dressed up in Super Mario costumes, as if they had popped out of the Super Nintendo and materialised themselves in real life. 🤗
I barely had the time to take the shot as the Super Mario Kart Drivers were already taking off, after getting the green light from the traffic light. 🚥
The race was on... and the Kart Drivers wouldn't wait for me to grab my camera and take a photo. If they did that, they would surely end up in last place - and nobody likes losers, specially in competitive city such as the bustling Tokyo.
I was lucky enough to be able to capture a single shot with my smartphone before they quickly took off, chasing each other and looking out for power ups in the middle of Tokyo's traffic. I wonder who has won... 😁

Nice challenge with the Super Mario Karts and an idea that could be implemented anywhere. Not only it has the emblematic Mario and the games that we associate with, but it also for children which are enjoying this initiative.
I heard this is very popular in Japan... but I don't think it's even legal in Europe to ride a Kart on the street! 😮

For sure! And they can't respawn when they hit something. Difficulty level: 5! 😁
At least Mario Kart will let you re-spawn... This is just worse😱!
