A Very Christmassy Store

avatar

Good friday, everyone!

On my last visit to Vila do Conde, during the Christmas period, I walked by a cute little window shop. I quickly grabbed my camera to take a photo of the display...

The name of the store is "Narrativa de Espaços" (Spot Narratives).

Judging by the name, I immediately thought that it was owned by creative people... and the items on display confirmed my suspicion, it all seemed beautiful and original. I decided to take a look inside.

But first, let me show you the front of the store which stands out from the rest of the houses in a very stylish way! 😎

Very interesting decoration... and they even placed a red carpet at the front, which made you feel like a king or a queen! 😁

The moment you stepped inside, this is the scenario you would find.

As you can see, there are lots and lots of interesting items to look at and all of them fitting the season. Yep, it was all very Christmassy.

The lighting was really cosy, too. It made you feel warm, even though it was a cold and raining winter day. 😊

Most shops in the town were empty but this one didn't lack customers. And they were not only browsing but buying stuff, too. It looks like the business is a successful one!

Here is a close up of one of the stands. There was a little bit of everything, from Christmas dolls and ornaments to wallets and coin pouches. There were items for all ages - toys for the youngest... as well as gifts for your grandmas.

I also like the painting on the wall! 😉

The owners told me they constantly change the store's decoration but also the items being sold, the idea is to keep things different through the year... so that people feel like it's a new store everyday they walk by. The concept was working quite well, some of the locals appeared to be regulars and they were attracted to everything as much as the first time customers. 🧐

I hope you liked this small article and my photos. Please leave a comment down below. Happy weekend!

You forgot to mention the small balcony above the store! It adds to the appeal.
The interior of the store is also beautiful. This is a very stylish store.

Christmas lives in this place!

I absolutely love this shop! I would be their regular customer too! Portugal has interesting stores anyway! I think the red carpet is a nice touch. Do they roll it up every night or just leave it out? They must roll it up, it is too clean. Of course, it could be indoor/outdoor!

The Christmas/Floral shop I go to is exactly like this, including moving it all year long. It does make it more interesting and I look forward to going there.

I like the small touches, the elegant trees, the lighting is warm and cozy. I will be they even have potpourri simmering somewhere to make it smell nice. This is a perfect and beautiful shop and I agree that you can tell from the windows just how stunning it all is. This is definitely a winner! Thank you for sharing!

#MarketFriday loves you! I try to let people know how much I appreciate their participation in #MarketFriday! Even though I get many on a weekly basis, each one is read and enjoyed. By now, you must know how much I enjoy learning about the world and how it is to live in your corner of it, and, make yours or mine better in any way. I have been given hints to make life nicer, and recipes to make dinner interesting. I find it interesting to compare, not by the world's standards, but, by how we find the quality of our life with different I enjoy learning more about you and hope you feel the same, that is why I find it important to take the time to read a couple of #MarketFriday posts and leave a genuine comment. It is important for a community to do this, learning about others, and getting to know each other. The fun is in getting to know people and making a positive contribution to community life. All this fun and money too. What is not to love? That is one of the reasons I joined Hive. How about you? :) I leave you with the guidelines. I hope you are having an amazing week!

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

  1. Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service. It can be a movie, an auction, or even a museum. Wherever money is exchanged for a service or product.
    Take pictures! Be creative!
  2. Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost? Was it expensive? Did it go up or down? A scroll of pictures with few words doesn't usually work.
  3. Post the pictures. Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post, it is too difficult to guess about some.
  4. Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post (#hive-196308) This is not required but appreciated.
PLEASE Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it!!
  5. Following me and reblogging the post would be appreciated, but not a rule, more vision for more views on the #MarketFriday posts!
    7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post.

As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!

I think the red carpet is a nice touch. Do they roll it up every night or just leave it out? They must roll it up, it is too clean.

Yes, it looks that way. If it was left outside, I would look like trash by now! 😁

Even though I get many on a weekly basis, each one is read and enjoyed.

I sincerely don't know how you manage that! Maybe you'll need to hire an assistant... or two!

That is one of the reasons I joined Hive. How about you?

I joined by accident. To earn some airdrop of a coin that's dead by now... but then I enjoyed it and stayed. Eventually I gave up on Facebook and other networks where I was posting at the time!

My mom would not spend any less than several hours in a place like this. Believe it or not, I grew up near a town named Santa Claus in Indiana, and as you would assume, the whole town has a Christmas theme, even an amusement park with some of the world's largest wooden rollercoasters, and the name of the place, Holiday World.
