MY EARNINGS GOT ME MY FIRST PHONE

Greetings, lovely people. Happy new week, everyone. It's a new week, and I hope it offers us all blessings and fantastic possibilities. Let's anticipate fresh developments and take advantage of this fantastic week.
In Nigeria, everyone is aware that the only job you can easily get after graduating from secondary school is working as a teacher in an elementary school or as a teaching assistant, if the school has high standards for their teachers. I received my first pay while working at a school.
I had applied for a position at TOPFAB Schools. I was hired through a friend; he had notified the principal that I needed a job, and that is how I started working there. I was given an interview that included teaching a class, as well as some tests, which I excelled at. Because I had a good vocabulary, I was asked to take the basic 3 class because the kids there were lacking in vocabulary, and I was asked how much I would like to be paid; I told them ten thousand naira, but I knew it wouldn't be possible because SSCE holders weren't paid up to that amount at the time.In the end, we settled on 8000 Naira a month. I wasn't thrilled with the money, but a promise to raise it later gave me optimism.
I had made it a point to note that I would most definitely be getting a new phone that could browse the internet when I started working, and because I was passionate about teaching, I wasn't really concerned about the pay even though the job was demanding; all I could think about was the phone I was going to get when the pay came in. As I started working, I only had this small phone that couldn't even browse the internet.
Days passed by, and I began counting down the days until I would get the phone. I was so eager to receive the phone that I even began visiting any stores I came across that offered used London phones for sale. Then, I met a guy who offered to take me to a place where I could purchase a phone for a very low price. I was overjoyed. Then, the big day arrived, and I was paid in a white envelope with my name written on it. Additionally, the school offered extra classes to the students. The income from there was consistently distributed to teachers who worked the entire month equally, making the total amount I had with me 10,000 Naira. I was pleased because I didn't know if I would receive anything from it.
The following day, a Saturday, I went to the friend's house to let him know I was ready to pick up the phone. He requested that I wait for him while he dressed because we needed to ride a bike to the location. I had a ton of options when I arrived at the store, so I chose one that costs roughly 7000 naira and purchased a 500 naira charger to go with it. It wasn't a brand-new phone, but I was glad that I was able to get something for myself.
This was my first Android phone, and I was pleased with it because I paid for it myself, giving me the feeling of being an adult. It was a joy to be able to get something for myself, and it was also enjoyable.
This is my entry for Week 48 Edition 1 of the HIVE Learners' Contest.

Nice congrats dear
I know this feeling. The first phone I used was a gift from a friend. he gave that to me. I used it until it was of no use again. The next was a gift and the next. I one day realized I have to get one for myself.
I used up my first money from my investments to buy iPhone X. I felt it. It was a great feeling I could do that from my pocket. You did great. It was a sacrifice.
Thanks for sharing with us. Greetings
😁exactly you have this feeling of being fulfilled somehow😜😁
I know the feeling, it's nice for one to be able to provide for oneself👍
Indeed when you do something adults do as a child, you get the feeling of being one. Really commendable what you did.
