First Cinema Experience For The Kids

Hi Everyone,

This weekend was a special one. We decided to take the kids to the cinema to watch Sonic 2. They saw Sonic 1 on Netflix so since we have some vouchers from our state government plus we have some time this afternooon, we thought to take the kids and watch something. The reason we didn't take them for so long is because of COVID the last 2 years so we have been avoiding it. Before that, BB M was only 3 so he would be too young for any movies so this was a great opportunity for them.

Both kids were pumped as we were getting ready to go in. First of course we need to visit the bathroom as we told them if we leave for a few minutes, we might miss out on some good bits. We didn't get popcorn there cos I can't justify paying premium price for popcorn. The kids didn't know but I did get them a small treat so they were still munching on something throughout the movie.

Overall they enjoyed the movie though BB M who is only 5 was a bit restless when there was no action. Most of the time he sat there so he was pretty good. The cinema was half full with most patrons are families. Jim Carrey was great but for some reason I still see parts of him acting like he was in the iconic movie The Mask. Of course our kids haven't seen that movie so he thought he was a pretty good "baddie". The movie I thought was a little too long for kids which ran for 2 hours but overall, it was a good sequel. Looks like there might be part 3 and the kids are already asking when that will come out.
