Old but Never Age

Not my first time but every time arriving HCM, I was always overwhelmed by the sheer number of people coming in and out of the airport. There were people bustling about, pushing past each other to try to get to their destination. It seemed like I could never escape the crowds.

I find it the same feeling when in Ha Noi, the sights and sounds of the capital can be simultaneously exhilarating and intimidating. Everywhere I turn there are endless honking sirens, from scooters to cars and buses creating a cacophony that never ceases. Plus, combined with the oppressive heat of the summer days, it's enough to make anyone feel overwhelmed! Lol, no complaint, it's just different experiences in different cities.

It's funny is somewhere else even crowded but I never feel that way- the Hoi An Old Town. I call it "Old but Never Age". The retains an aura of timelessness with its delightful mix of ancient temples, narrow streets lined with traditional architecture and modern amenities.

Its unique charm has been captivating travelers for centuries, and with every passing visit, its beauty and unique charm still remains the same. Its stunning old yellow houses and the beautiful bougainvillea on the porch, it's truly a sight to behold. The narrow streets are teeming with street vendors selling their wares, while happy couples cycle through them enjoying the atmosphere. With its picturesque setting and calming atmosphere, it's no wonder that people are drawn to this special ancient town, including me :)

Huong River flows through the heart of the town, with colorful lanterns on the boats, creating a stunning visual experience. What a remarkable view and a sense of solace and harmony. Whenever I visit Hoi An, one particular specialty that I never miss is Cao Lau - a traditional noodle dish from the area. The combination of chewy noodles, crunchy vegetables and savory pork are always delicious. I made sure to take some time to enjoy sweet soup from the vendor, and a glass of herbal tea. you can easily find many eateries serving tasty local dishes. With so many restaurants located around the corner and across the bridge, there is a night market where you can easily find find an endless variety of foods, from local delicacies to freshly made desserts. This place sure to satisfy any food enthusiast's appetite.

My stroll around Hoi An town was short but enjoyable, and I returned to Da Nang city after that.

Thanks for reading my post :)

That's fine Pauline, I sometimes don't receive notifications on PeakD. I was in my home country last month and have already come back to Australia for work. I feel pretty good now, mostly recovered, just need to get checked up once in a while. Thanks Pauline. ❤️
