Random Writing | The NoteBook of Chaos

You are given a special notebook. By drawing in this notebook, you can teleport yourself to any desired location. But, your drawing must be as accurate as possible. What if you're a horrible artist? What misadventures can you explore?

When asked to draw a dog, Marcus tried his best to replicate one. Unfortunately, his sketch did not contain any trace of a dog. Even a cat would scream at the top of its lungs if it were compared to them.

He loves to draw, but drawing never reciprocated his love.

People always tell him that his gift is more of an abstract type, one that breaks accurate description and mindset. But he does not agree with that.

That day, upset about what was going on, her friend Yana gave him a notebook. It was an old notebook with some Dreamcatcher drawings included. She said that this notebook is so magical that whatever location he draws, immediately he will be teleported to the said location.

Not believing what Yana was saying, he did a sample. He drew a big nipa hut near the beach with some umbrellas on the side. There was white sand and a beach nearby with some starfish. After completing his drawing, he closed the notebook, and with a hair's breadth, the scenery changed. They were in the coastal area of their province.

Surprised by what happened, Marcus received the gift happily. Yana mentioned keeping everything as accurate as possible, as problems may arise if not followed.

With great confidence, Marcus thumped his chest and said, "Easy-peasy."

He tried to draw a big circle and colored it in yellow. It looked like a dome with some debris on the side. Immediately, he got teleported to the gladiator arena in Rome. The place was filled with people, and their dress was quite different from what he was wearing.

Did he jump back in time?

Most likely he did.

People were shouting in a language that he was not aware of, and the door in the coliseum started to open. A creak sound, hearing the heavy chain going up, was heard by the man. There a lion in chains started to walk towards him. In another corner, another door was opening again. The same heavy sound could be heard, but this time a tall, buffed man entered the scene. Fully armed, he also walked towards Marcus.

Afraid of what would happen next, he ran away from both. But both the lion and the buffed man sprinted as fast as they could to catch him. Upon reaching the end of the corner, Marcus was now stuck, and there was nowhere else to go. He caught his breath, and while doing that, the lion leaped in front of him, making his vision as black as it could be.

He woke up after he heard the bell ring. While arranging his items in preparation for departing, he noticed an old notebook with a dream catcher design. Upon opening it, he saw his drawing, but there was an additional image that he did not draw: the scene wherein the lion was eating the man alive.
