Today we will talk about gardening. So it is established in nature that when some berries end, new ones begin. Yes, we have run out of raspberries, currants, and currants, and blueberries and blackberries have arrived instead. Today I will show and tell you a little about blackberries.
Once upon a time, when I was little, no one planted blackberries, at least in our region. People had big raspberry bushes, but we went to the forest for blackberries and picked them there. But it was not an easy task, blackberries are very prickly, the bushes were huge and to pick those blackberries, you were all worn out. That is probably why it was not planted near the house, because it is very prickly, it weaves everywhere, and as a result it is difficult to get it out. In the forest near the house, blackberries were low and small, but when we went to my grandmother's, the bushes there were tall and the berries were rough.

Так і у нас, малинка, смородина, порічка вже закінчилися, а натомість прийшла лохина та ожина. Сьогодні трошки покажу і розкажу Вам саме про ожину. Колись, коли я була мала, то ожину ніхто не садив, принаймні у нашому регіоні. Люди мали великі малинники, а от по ожину ми ходили в ліс та там її збирали. Але це було завдання не з простих, ожина дуже колюча, чагарники бували величезні й щоб назбирати тої ожини, ти був весь обдертий. Певно тому її не садили біля дому, бо вона дуже колюча, всюди плететься, та й в результаті вивести її важко. В лісі що неподалік дому ожина була низька і дрібненька, а коли ми їздили до бабусі то там кущі були високі та ягоди грубі.

And now, having once visited the best men, a whole bowl of large, sweet, delicious blackberries was placed on the table. Of course, I asked the godmother where she got such a delicacy. It turned out that such a fringe grows in their garden. Knowing my love for all such things, the godmother took me to the garden, showed me everything, told me, and later shared the seedling with me.

І ось, якось гостювавши в кумів, на стіл поставили цілу миску великої, солодкої смачної ожини. Звісно, я ж запитала в куми де вона таку смакоту взяла. Виявилося що така ожинка росте у них в саду. Знаючи мою любов до всього такого, кума завела мене в сад, все показала, розказала, а згодом поділилася саджанцем зі мною.

So, as a result, I became the owner of a wonderful blackberry bush. I will tell you a little about him. This is a blackberry of the Loch Ness variety, it is thornless (this is an incredible plus), has large berries, if it is fully ripe, it is very sweet, unripe fruits can be sour. The bush is tall, it can reach 1.8 m. And the length of the shoots can be up to 4 meters. He likes that there is a shadow and the sun shines. The bush is resistant to frost, so this is important for us, we have never insulated it for the winter, it withstands our frosts. The fruits ripen at the end of July and will delight us with berries throughout August.
In principle, there are no maintenance problems with it, the only thing is its location. Because the first time we planted a bush in such a place where there is shade almost all the time, it is quite wet there. This place did not suit at all, the berries were small, not sweet and spoiled very quickly right on the bush. Therefore, I do not recommend it in such a place.
One bush will be more than enough for a small family. You will be full and can make jam or freeze berries. When the bush is already big, they say that you can collect up to 15 kg of berries. I don't know if that's true because they've never been weighed. But there are a lot of them on the bush, that's for sure. Отже, в результаті я стала власницею, чудового куща ожини. Розкажу вам трошки про нього. Це ожина сорту Лох Несс, вона безколючкова (це неймовірний плюс), має великі ягоди, вона якщо повністю достигла, то дуже солодка, не стиглі плоди можуть мати кислинку. Кущ високий, досягати може 1,8 м. А довжина пагонів може бути до 4 метрів. Любить щоб тінь була і сонечко світило. Кущ стійкий до морозу, тому це для нас важливо, ми ніколи не утепляли його на зиму, наші морози він витримує. Плоди достигають на кінець липня і будуть весь серпень нас тішити ягодами.
В принципі проблем з догляду з ним немає, єдине це місце розташування. Бо перший раз ми посадили кущ в такому місці де майже весь час тінь, там досить мокро. Це місце зовсім не підійшло, ягоди були малі, не солодкі та дуже швидко псувалися прямо на кущі. Тому в такому місці не рекомендую.
На невелику сім'ю одного куща буде більш ніж достатньо. Ви й наїстеся і зможете вареннячко зробити чи заморозити ягоди. Коли кущ вже великий, кажуть що можна зібрати до 15 кг ягід. Я не знаю чи це так, бо ніколи не зважували їх. Але їх багато на кущі це точно. А ви любите таку ягоду, діліться в коментарях чи куштували колись.
