Dog - the hero of my life
It has been 9 years since this wonderful dog came into my life. I would never have thought to ever have a dog, because I was always somehow more of a person who had cats. Probably something also influenced the fact that we did not have a dog, because my brother is allergic to animal hair and we were not allowed to have animals in the house. The cats had their place in the basement, although I always somehow smuggled them into my room. Mom knew I loved animals, so she never complained when she found them in my room. My father was strongly against keeping animals in the house, especially dogs, so I never mentioned that it would be nice to have a dog, I also knew that I would soon move to Ljubljana and the care for the animals would fall on mom. We had one cat and that was enough. I was looking forward to the weekends when I got home and the cat was waiting for me and that meant a lot to me. Then came the day when I had to decide that I need move back home due to illness. Although this drew a lot of sadness with me, I was at least looking forward to being around my cat. Two weeks before I moved back home, I came to visit and found my cat dead by the roadside. He was run over by a car. I hadn’t felt so much sadness in a long time, but luckily I had my husband (a boyfriend at the time) who was a support and comfort to me. Then came the last day before moving out of our apartment in Ljubljana. We cleaned the apartment and said goodbye. All of a sudden, my boyfriend and his friend disappeared somewhere and they were gone for quite some time. When they got back, my boyfriend was holding something in his hands wrapped in a jacket. I didn't see anything. He just said he had something for me and then a little head with black eyes peeked out. I don’t think I could even comprehend what was going on for the first few seconds. It's a dog. It's a little dog! And this is mine. I cannot describe these emotions in words. I don’t think I let that lump of hair out of my hands all night. The next day we headed home. Then came the realization, that I had to tell my parents that from now on there would be a new family member in our family, who would also live in the house. This, however, is a challenge, given what my parents think of the animals in the house. When the new family member was introduced to them, there were actually no complaints, possibly also because I was living at home again, and they were happy. The only rule that was set was that the dog should not be in their and brother’s room and that no hair should be visible on the floor. The whole family was happy to have a dog, which I would never have thought. Of course, I also didn’t know how much happiness a dog brings to life and my parents realized that too.
When I moved to Austria, I found out after a while that my family missed the dog, even though they would never admit it. Then I saw that a friend had bought a puppy but after a week she found out she didn’t have time to take care of him, so I decided to take this dog and give it to my family. My mother was immensely happy, but my father was not. My condition, of course, was that the dog would be in the house, so we arranged a place for her in my old room. The father said the dog would only be in the house overnight and outside during the day. And then in two weeks my mom calls me. This is not possible, the father is gone crazy. Dog can go to the couch, she sleep next to him, he goes for a walk with her, greet the dog first thing in the morning, he love this dog so much. So, my plan worked. She brought so much happines in their life. 💪❤️
Either way, even though animals can’t talk, they still have a huge impact on our lives. And so my dog has it on my life. Because of her, I am what I am and because of her, I got the energy and the will to live when I was really on the ground.
Baou - you've been making me happy for 9 years. Because of you, my life is more beautiful, because of you, I wake up with a smile on my face when you jump on the bed, and try to gently wake me up with your paws. You make it easier for me to overcome all obstacles in life, and you make it easier for me when I face an illness. You are my happiness and thank you for that. You will always be my sunshine. I love you. ❤️❤️
Of course she’s my photo model and I really have a huge amount of pictures of her, so I've put together some pictures of her for you guys to see.

If I may make a suggestion as well, try to break up large bodies of text like you have at the start of your article, into smaller paragraphs. This will help your reader process what you're saying, and not lose their place. :D
