An abandoned greenhouse in the Crimea

My family and I often go on vacation to the Crimea. And every time we try to find new and interesting places to photograph. One day on Instagram I saw a beautiful picture of an abandoned greenhouse and found it by geolocation. It turned out that we only have 20-30 minutes to go to it. It turned out to be easy to get there, but getting into it was a big problem.

Since it was located on the territory of a large sanatorium and was guarded. You could either climb over the fence or go up to the guard and pay them some money. So we had a little daughter (she was 8 months old) then I had to not go to the extreme option of climbing over the fence and we went to negotiate with the guards.

So we saw such a fading beauty. To be honest, in such old historical places, I want to cry from an overabundance of feelings. Yes, the greenhouse is old, it is already badly destroyed, it is dangerous to walk in it, but it is so beautiful and majestic. The greenhouse was built in 1977 on the territory of closed Crimean sanatoriums in the city of Partenit in Crimea, but then it was abandoned due to lack of funding.

Plants have been preserved inside, but they already look bad. The palm trees died, only one of them remained. Along the perimeter of the orangery there are stairs, very dangerous rusty and partially destroyed from time, I could not climb higher, I have a fear of heights.

The glass of the greenhouse is partially broken, many doors are boarded up, so we entered through the window. There is a "Dangerous" sign on the building. The condition of the building is really emergency. By the way, we did not take our daughter into the greenhouse building, she was with our friends on the street, breathing fresh pine air. It was in 2019, and the memories are very fresh and pleasant. As photographers, we really love such colorful interesting historical places.

This year, in September, we also went to this greenhouse to show it to my mother, but unfortunately the territory was already closed and no one was allowed there because of some construction.
Most likely, the greenhouse was also destroyed. But it remained in our memory and in the photos.
