Hello everyone!

For this occasion I will bring a rather short post talking about my experience and my thoughts about the celebration of the 20th week of Ready Player Hive (I don't remember anymore how many weeks I have participated).

For those who didn't know, on Tuesday last week they made a small poll and also announced some tournaments to celebrate this, and the majority of participants chose the classic games: Smash Karts, League of Legends. Also TFT was on the table, but it was the game with less votes, so I guess it was eliminated.

I didn't participate in the Smash Karts tournament because it's a game I've never played before and I wasn't in the mood to play it for the first time and at the same time participate in a small tournament haha, so I just decided to limit myself to play the League of Legends tournament.

In this small tournament several people participated, although the first thing I noticed was that not everyone who had said they would participate was there that day. I have to admit that this disappointed me a bit, and it's not to say anything bad about the tournament, rather, it's about the users: Guys, if you're going to participate in something, be responsible with your participation and don't just say you'll go for the sake of saying it.

I'm pretty sure @ilazramusic and @bananasfallers managed to raise enough funds to not only make it fun for us, but also to support us. The least we can do is also do our part and participate in these initiatives, they are simply things that are done to have an awesome atmosphere and have fun with each other, because after all, we are a small family of gamers that get together every week to have a good time.

Having said that, I'll talk about my first game of the tournament:

1. IK Gaming (@ikasumanera) VS Nyrd (@therealflaws)

This was definitely the fastest game of the tournament since we both chose an ADC for the fight. The first thing I thought to play was Draven because, at least in my opinion, he is one of the best champions you can use to fight 1v1. Draven has a slow and his W with his movement speed allows you to reposition quickly if you need it, plus you can reset the CD of this ability every time you grab an axe with the Q.

On the other side, IK chose Tristana, a champion that can also give you a pretty explosive combo if you let her hit you. I feel that 1v1 this matchup was very complicated for Trist because of Draven's explosive damage, and I made the most of it and that's how I won this battle after 2 kills in less than 3 minutes, I'd say.

2. P E R Ç E V A L(@perceval) VS Nyrd (@therealflaws)

For this fight I knew I would have to be extremely careful, so I chose one of the safest picks I had in my arsenal: Ryze. I didn't expect Perce to pull out Tryndamere, but in a way I feel it was a double-edged sword since without explosive damage I couldn't explode Tryndamere with constant healing thanks to his Q.

In this VS none of us died, we just suicided through the tower to buy items. I ended up winning because Perce's tower suffered a lot of damage from the minions and because I could constantly clear the enemy minion wave thanks to Ryze's abilities (which in a way are AOE). The spacing was crucial here as I was sure that Perce could explode me with a few criticals if I was too close D:

3. GuaritosEX (@guaritosex) VS Nyrd (@therealflaws)

And the last round of this little tournament was against Guaritosex. I had already seen the picks he pulled in past games, apparently Yordles are his favorite haha, and after seeing that Heimerdinger (one of his picks) was among those ranks, he was the only champion I decided to block in the whole tournament, I just loathe that champion every place I see him. I don't like champions that play themselves.

I was also under the impression that I would play Teemo so I decided to take out Warwick, a champion that may not make as much sense to use, but mostly I use it as "bait" because the vast majority don't expect how absurd this champion is for 1v1. In my opinion, the only character that could beat Warwick in 1v1 is Olaf.

Due to the constant attrition and also because I took this champion tanking, it was impossible to die at the hands of Guarito. In fact, unfortunately I died because I didn't calculate the time since the last time he hit me and when I tried to kill myself with the tower, it counted as a kill haha.

Final thoughts

As far as it goes, it was fun. As a personal opinion, I think it would be much better to award the biggest prizes to the top winners because it ensures that everyone does their best (as long as there are monetary prizes involved).

Be that as it may, I enjoyed the experience. I feel like these types of activities are perfect to do more on a daily basis :) Many thanks to @ilazramusic and @bananasfallers for organizing this little event and for the effort to create a nice space for everyone. It's a real pleasure to be here with you.

¡Hola a todos!

Para esta ocasión traeré un post bastante corto hablando de mi experiencia y mis pensamientos acerca de la celebración de la semana 20 del Ready Player Hive (ya no recuerdo cuántas semanas he participado).

Para los que no sabían, el día martes de la semana pasada hicieron una pequeña encuesta y también anunciaron unos torneos para celebrar esto, y la mayoría de participantes eligieron los juegazos clásicos: Smash Karts, League of Legends. También TFT estaba sobre la mesa, pero fue el juego con menos votos, por lo que supongo que fue eliminado.

Yo no participé en el torneo de Smash Karts porque es un juego que jamás he jugado y no estaba de ánimos para jugarlo por primera vez y al mismo tiempo participar en un pequeño torneo haha, así que simplemente decidí limitarme a jugar el torneo de League of Legends.

En este pequeño torneo participamos varias personas, aunque la primera cosa que noté fue que no todos los que habían dicho que participarían estaban allí ese día. Tengo que admitir que esto me decepcionó un poco, y no es por decir nada malo respecto al torneo, más bien, es respecto a los usuarios: Chicos, si van a participar en algo, sean responsables con su participación y no simplemente digan que irán por decirlo.

Estoy bastante seguro de que @ilazramusic y @bananasfallers lograron conseguir fondos suficientes no solamente para que sea divertido para nosotros, sino también para apoyarnos. Lo mínimo que podemos hacer es también poner de nuestra parte y participar en estas iniciativas, simplemente son cosas que se hacen para tener un ambiente increíble y divertirnos entre todos, porque después de todos, somos una pequeña familia de gamers que nos reunimos cada semana para pasarla bien.

Ya dicho esto, hablaré de mi primera partida del torneo:

1. IK Gaming (@ikasumanera) VS Nyrd (@therealflaws)

Esta fue definitivamente la partida más rápida del torneo puesto que ambos elegimos un ADC para la pelea. Lo primero que pensé para jugar fue en Draven porque, al menos a mi parecer, es uno de los mejores campeones que se pueden usar para pelear 1v1. Draven tiene una ralentización y su W con su velocidad de movimiento te permite reposicionarte rápidamente si lo requieres, sumado a esto puedes reiniciar el CD de esta habilidad cada vez que agarres un hacha con la Q.

Por el otro lado, IK eligió Tristana, un campeón que también puede hacerte un combo bastante explosivo si dejas que te lo acierte. Siento que 1v1 este matchup era muy complicado para Trist por el daño tan explosivo de Draven, y le saqué todo el provecho que pude y así fue como gané esta batalla luego de 2 kills en menos de 3 minutos, diría yo.

2. P E R Ç E V A L(@perceval) VS Nyrd (@therealflaws)

Para esta pelea sabía que tendría que ser extremadamente cuidadoso, por lo que elegí uno de los picks más seguros que tenía en mi arsenal: Ryze. No esperaba que Perce sacara Tryndamere, pero en cierto modo siento que fue un arma de doble filo ya que sin daño explosivo no podría explotar a Tryndamere con la constante curación gracias a su Q.

En este VS ninguno de nosotros murió, simplemente nos suicidamos por la torre para comprar items. Terminé ganando porque la torre de Perce sufría muchísimo daño por los minions y porque constantemente podía limpiar la wave de minions enemiga gracias a las habilidades de Ryze (que en cierto modo son AOE). El spacing fue fundamental aquí ya que estaba seguro de que Perce me podía explotar con unos cuantos críticos si yo estaba muy cerca D:

3. GuaritosEX (@guaritosex) VS Nyrd (@therealflaws)

Y la última ronda de este pequeño torneo fue contra Guaritosex. Ya había visto los picks que sacó en partidas pasadas, al parecer los Yordles son sus favoritos haha, y luego de ver que Heimerdinger (uno de sus picks) estaba entre esas filas, fue el único campeón que decidí bloquear en todo el torneo, simplemente aborrezco ese campeón en cada lugar que lo veo. No me gustan los campeones que se juegan solos.

También tenía la impresión de que jugaría Teemo por lo que decidí sacar Warwick, un campeón que tal vez no tenga tanto sentido usar, pero más que nada lo uso como "carnada" porque la gran mayoría no se espera lo absurdo que es este campeón para 1v1. En mi opinión, el único personaje que podría ganarle a Warwick en 1v1 es Olaf.

Debido al constante desgaste y también a que me llevé a este campeón en tanque, fue imposible morir a manos de Guarito. De hecho, lastimosamente morí porque no calculé el tiempo desde la última vez que me pegó un golpe y cuando intenté suicidarme con la torre, contó como kill haha.

Pensamientos finales

Dentro de lo que cabe, fue divertido. Como opinión personal, creo que quedaría mucho mejor otorgar los mayores premios a los principales ganadores porque así se garantiza que todos pongan lo mejor de sí (siempre y cuando hayan premios monetarios de por medio).

Sea como sea, me gustó la experiencia. Siento que este tipo de actividades son perfectas para hacerlas con más cotidianidad :) Muchas gracias a @ilazramusic y a @bananasfallers por organizar este pequeño evento y por el esfuerzo para crear un espacio agradable para todos. Es un verdadero placer estar aquí con ustedes.
