Aún recuerdo la primera vez que vi este juego, algo completamente de otro planeta. Alien Isolation es un juego que me ha encantado desde la primera vez que lo vi hace más de 5 años gracias a un youtuber llamado Willyrex en un modo de juego supervivencia. Yo decidí ignorarlo por ahora y fui directamente al modo historia.

Recuerdo ligeramente gran parte de la historia gracias a @strawhat. Cuando volví a Hive noté que él estaba haciendo una serie de videos acerca de este juego y completando el modo historia. Estoy 100% seguro de que no terminé de ver toda la serie (lo siento por eso straw T_T) pero aún así recuerdo gran parte de todas las cosas que él hizo allí.

Es graciosa la forma en la que terminé jugando este juego. No fue algo planeado con mucha antelación ni mucho menos, ese día @gabrielserra me regaló un game pass para obtener el inmenso catálogo de xbox (que hasta ahora me ha dejado completamente asombrado por la cantidad de juegos que contiene).

Así que para probar que todo funcionaba completamente decidí descargar un juego, ¿y qué mejor juego que Alien Isolation? Sumado a que este fue el primer juego que me mostró el catálogo de Xbox.

Para que fuera más épico, decidí hacer streaming de este juego para que los muchachos vieran como mi PC iba a explotar. Para nuestra sorpresa, nada de esto sucedió, y el juego se veía completamente INCREÍBLE. Diría que siempre se mantuvo a más de 40 FPS y la configuración por default tenía todo en gráficos máximos, por lo que fue una verdadera joya.

Estuve un par de horas jugando y probando todo el juego. Las explosiones, la oscuridad, todo se veía tan completamente genial que de verdad no me creía que estuviera jugando un juego con un aspecto visual tan increíble y que pensé que solo podría ver gracias a youtubers, lol.

La mayor parte del tiempo solo estaba pensando en "¿De verdad mi PC está corriendo este juego? No me lo creo". Solo podía quedarme observando los increíbles escenarios de este juego porque, como ya muchos saben, no tengo una muy buena pc para los juegos más actuales. Jugar Alien Isolation para mí es un logro que no me esperaba conseguir tan pronto, o al menos no hasta que consiguiera una nueva PC.

Sumado a todos los gráficos de este juego, todos los sonidos son una completa pesadilla. Cuando veía este juego desde videos me asustaba bastante por los sonidos inesperados y también la música me ponía ligeramente nervioso, pero la experiencia cambia completamente cuando estás jugando.

No recordaba que la historia del juego era tan "lenta" al comienzo. Pude pasar un buen rato descubriendo cómo eran todos los controles y demás gracias a que tenía a los muchachos en mi stream (gracias a @kuronokenshi, @oldfool, @perceval, @gabrielserra y @brataka), pero aún así se sintió como si solo estaba invirtiendo muchos minutos en avanzar y avanzar sin sentir emoción alguna; supongo que esto es para familiarizarse con los controles y mecánicas del juego (yo tardé muchísimo para poder aprender todo, lol).

No recordaba que los NPC fueran tan inteligentes, pero imbéciles al mismo tiempo. En esta parte de la historia solo me quedé leyendo los diálogos y recordar todas las cosas que ocurrían en esta nave. La estación Sebastopool está llena de personas locas y por estos diálogos lo noté completamente, incluso comenzaban a imaginar cosas XD.

Después de haber apagado la luz para poder escaparme junto a Axel (un compañero que conocí anteriormente), pude pasar por el frente de los NPC y parecían no notarme. Pero el problema es que luego de estar básicamente a 10 metros de distancia de ellos, ME NOTARON Y COMENZARON A DISPARARME. Estaba 100% seguro de que las armas aquí hacían muchísimo daño, pero por algún motivo no morí y todo salió a la perfección.

Nuestro compañero Axel murió un poco más adelante siendo asesinado por el alien, así que, eso no es muy buen presagio (y como no quise entrar a la parte "terrorífica", decidí dejar de jugar).

Creo que aún sigo impresionado por la capacidad de mi PC, es asombroso lo bien que puede llegar a correr unos juegos, así que eso me inspira a intentar probar con cosas más pesadas. No descansaré hasta que mi PC esté completamente en llamas.

I still remember the first time I saw this game, something completely from another planet. Alien Isolation is a game that I have loved since the first time I saw it over 5 years ago thanks to a youtuber named Willyrex in a survival game mode. I decided to ignore it for now and went straight to the story mode.

I slightly remember much of the story thanks to @strawhat. When I came back to Hive I noticed he was doing a series of videos about this game and completing the story mode. I'm 100% sure I didn't finish watching the whole series (sorry about that straw T_T) but I still remember much of all the stuff he did there.

It's funny how I ended up playing this game. It wasn't something planned far in advance by any means, that day @gabrielserra gave me a game pass to get the immense xbox catalog (which so far has left me completely amazed by the amount of games it contains).

So to test that everything was fully functional I decided to download a game, and what better game than Alien Isolation? Plus this was the first game that showed me the Xbox catalog.

To make it more epic, I decided to stream this game so the guys could see how my PC was going to explode. To our surprise, none of this happened, and the game looked absolutely AMAZING. I would say it always stayed at over 40 FPS and the default settings had everything on max graphics, so it was a real gem.

I spent a couple of hours playing and testing the whole game. The explosions, the darkness, everything looked so completely cool that I really couldn't believe I was playing a game with such an amazing visual aspect that I thought I could only see thanks to youtubers, lol.

Most of the time I was just thinking "Is my PC really running this game? I don't believe it." I could only stare at the amazing sceneries of this game because, as many already know, I don't have a very good pc for most current games. Playing Alien Isolation for me is an achievement I didn't expect to get so soon, or at least not until I get a new PC.

Added to all the graphics in this game, all the sounds are a complete nightmare. When I was watching this game from videos I was quite scared by the unexpected sounds and also the music made me slightly nervous, but the experience changes completely when you are playing the game.

I didn't remember the game's story being so "slow" at the beginning. I was able to spend a good amount of time figuring out what all the controls and such were like thanks to having the guys in my stream (thanks to @kuronokenshi, @oldfool, @perceval, @gabrielserra and @brataka), but it still felt like I was just investing many minutes in moving forward and forward without feeling any excitement; I guess this is to get familiar with the controls and mechanics of the game (it took me forever to be able to learn everything, lol).

I didn't remember the NPCs being so smart, but morons at the same time. In this part of the story I just kept reading the dialogues and remembering all the things happening on this ship. Sebastopool station is full of crazy people and from these dialogues I completely noticed it, they were even starting to imagine things XD.

After I turned off the light so I could escape with Axel (a fellow I met earlier), I was able to get past the front of the NPCs and they didn't seem to notice me. But the problem is that after I was basically 10 meters away from them, they NOTICED ME AND STARTED SHOOTING AT ME. I was 100% sure that the guns here did a ton of damage, but for some reason I didn't die and everything went perfectly.

Our buddy Axel died a bit later being killed by the alien, so, that doesn't bode very well (and since I didn't want to get into the "scary" part, I decided to stop playing).

I think I'm still impressed by the performance of my PC, it's amazing how well it can run some games, so that inspires me to try heavier stuff. I won't rest until my PC is completely on fire.
