What's his problem? - A Picture is Worth A Thousand Words
What's his problem?
Seriously, what's his problem? We're supposed to be a team here and I feel like he left me out in the cold.
We were pitching our joint venture to a new group of angel investors this morning and everything was going swell, at least I thought it was. Lucky or unlucky for me, I was manning the technical side of things as usual and everything was working just fine until it wasn't.
Hey, technology is great and all but things happen. The presentation was working nicely until the darn laptop started acted up and rebooted right in the middle of the presentation. My partner, business partner in case anybody is wondering, made an offhand remark.
"These computers are only as good as the ones taking care of them".
I held my tongue as usual thinking to myself, I don't see you down here doing anything. I bet if I wasn't here you'd have no clue as to what you're doing. Good luck finishing this presentation!
After this mishap I had everything back up and running and I took over the show. I was sure to make this clear with my business partner as I fiddled around saving the day once again. You can say a lot with your eyes while not letting others see how you feel in a situation.
The pitch with its mishaps was over and done with within the next twenty minutes. The group appeared pleased and more importantly interested in our pitch. Hooray for us!
I'm not sure how someone got ahold of this photo at the beginning of my posting.
I'm looking damn fit if I'm being honest, all those spin classes are showing results. As for my clenched fist, well this is the reason. I'm not going to leave this as it is. Stress manifests itself in many different ways, you can clearly see it here. Luckily, I will be getting rid of it really soon. We're off to the local cafe where I will explain that such remarks are not appreciated especially in front of potential clients.
Attempting to gain support for our new product is a team venture obviously and we should be supporting each other 100%. Sometimes the wrong actions manifest themselves at the worst times. This one was of those incidents.
Luckily, we hashed it out and he wasn't even aware of his actions. A sincere apology was put forth and we're all the better for clearing the air. These type of situations can be extremely damaging in any type of relationship and its best to let the other person know how you feel.
We've always kept a friendly, professional relationship over the years and I'd hate for this to be soured over an incident such as this. You'd be surprised how easy it is to work out any differences over a simple cup of coffee.
Once everything was settled I couldn't help but throw in a little something as a joke.
Did you remember to turn off the laptop? We wouldn't want to have problems on the next pitch.
I received a strange look, quizzical eyes, a smirk and then a huge room-filling laugh.
We'll be fine and don't you worry, I'll let my business partner know when something is bothering me. You can bet on it!

@thequizshow Very business-type story, but equally beautiful and good, what an accurate one you said, any difference can be resolved during a cup of coffee, but there should also be an intention to solve it, I believe.
welcome to pic1000 again, I wish you to win the prize.
That's nice of you to say. Thank you.
Most issues can be worked out over a nice cuppa from my experiences, all you need to do is get to that point and the rest should take over.
I wonder about that remark made. It feels, while reading this, that feeling still exists.
