Orcanorc's Magical Journey - A Skyrim Tale - Part Nineteen

A dragon has returned?

The Wight lord had been defeated and the dragonstone recovered for Farengar, the nearby chest had some good things to loot including a helmet of major destruction worth a lot but more importantly, it is great for those destruction spells should Orcanorc choose to use it.

The other helmet would be good for leveling his abilities but he didn't feel like it was worth it, when his magicka needed more of the boost for using the spells all the time now.

"I am hearing people talk more about a dragon being nearby, Orcanorc. We should finish up here quickly and find out what is going on" said Vorstag while he was focused on disenchanting some gear he wouldn't be using.

Learning to deal frost damage was one of the choices, it wasn't the best valued weapon and the effect could be applied to something better, same goes with other disenchanting done like the frost resistance boost.

"I will disenchant you so I can apply this awesome boost, to better gear later on"* Orcanorc mumbled while disenchanting the steel helmet of major destruction which he had just acquired.

It was all hands on deck for a fight at a watchtower nearby, against the dragon called Mirmulnir which was believed to be the one that had attacked and destroyed Helgen.

Some creeping cold and crackle helped to weaken it down while Vorstag, the guards and others from Whiterun were down to assist with the extra damage and distraction in this epic and tough battle.

It was being reduced down really low and it made Mirmulnir quite mad. He was shouting things at them but it was hard to make out.. then the fire being blown at Orcanorc had to get him quite low in health as well.

"Good thing I was stocked up and could get behind cover to heal up before quickly learning how to boost the frost spells effects and damage" he said as he managed to keep himself alive, barely though.

The battle soon enough was over and they were safe, once again. Mirmulnir took another blast of the ice and lightning plus some hits from others and this damage was too great to withstand and with this safety for everyone around and in Riverwood or Whiterun, they could rejoice in their safety.

With this kill and the amount of destruction spell usage it gained more experience in destruction magic, but still quite a way for the next level.

"Hmmm let's see why this dragon is suddenly fading away.. wait, what is this power?" Orcanorc thought as he started to absorb the soul of Mirmulnir.

It was happening as he looted the dragons scales and bones, plus a valuable ruby and a nice chunk of gold it was hoarding on its body.

He had become encumbered by the weight of the bones and scales which made it hard to move and slowly too. It was a good thing he previously learned the spell Longstride to enable that quick movement, while not being encumbered and this allowed Orcanorc and Vorstag to head back to Whiterun and talk to the Jarl again.

They headed to Belethor's General Goods for selling of the dragon bones and scales, netting a nice amount of gold to add to the collection and another thing.. Lydia is Orcanorc's Thane as a thankful from the Jarl for the help with the dragon, she was joining to ensure the adventures would go a lot smoother for him.

"Okay Lydia and Vorstag, as you know I can do summonings and this run we are doing to travel to a new place, it is for a bone altar so I can summon a skeleton to fight alongside us"

"Another minion to help fight means greater survival chances for us all and is a good thing" Lydia suggested and Vorstag agreed.

They reached the bone altar after some time traveling. Orcanorc performed the summoning and with that completed, a skeleton was raised to fight alongside them all and things were going to get a lot easier with a good group, adventuring together.
