Lone Madman in the Apocalypse - Surviving the Fallout 4 Wasteland - Part sixteen
Leaving the plant and dying to things like bugs on the railway line
It was time to continue with the water treatment plant by activating the next water draining button, releasing the next pair of mirelurk to deal with.
"How about you burn so I don't have to look at you anymore while I go deal with your friend" Arghrash shouted at the first mirelurk, ensuring it was finished off before moving on to the second which was below him and was easy to defeat.
The button was activated and now there would only be what looks like one more for this water to be completely drained. Surprisingly and without noticing them at first, two machine gun turrets were shooting from the pillars nearby and got in some damage, that is before Arghrash quickly laid the bullets into them and healed up after they were destroyed.
A couple more mirelurk were on the way to the next button switch for the final draining and it was a quick kill of them both, a drink or two of the dirty water due to dehydration and then the final switch was done, the water had been drained as much as it could be.
Right near the exit elevator was a big chest full of ammo and a few poorer guns that could be sold, the ammo would be nice to hold onto though and with the collected, the switch to restart the main pump was flipped and it was out of here for Arghrash.
"Well that wasn't too bad of a quest, easier than the super mutants that were outside, that is for sure!"
Upon getting back to the outside of the water treatment plant, Arghrash decided to check his pipboy for how his statistics and levels are going.. "Well that explains why I keep forgetting to check the base workshop, dehydration has affected my intelligence and I focus more on getting some extra of the dirty water drinking in instead."
His statistics and levels were really taking a hit the longer he went without properly drinking water or sleeping along with the addiction to some chems. Luckily he was holding an addictol ready for times like this and got rid of the addictions which at least improved his abilities a little more again.
A trek back to turn in the quest and supervisor white was happy to hear about the good news. "Here are your caps that were well earned" said supervisor white before going back to tending to the garden vegetables.
8 hours now passed since being back at base and a solid sleep is always a refreshing and good time, it was lucky there were a lot of purified water stored in the workbench. This was helped to replenish the thirst and lack of water, improving the statistics once more and having a few spare to take on the next adventure.
"What to do next hmm, might head back up the railway line and pass the other settlement to see what I can find again" Arghrash thought to himself while heading in that direction.
Running pass the settlers at the other camp before heading further up the railway line, there were some super mutants wandering around the area and looking around.
A fight had started with one of them getting killed off, the one to the side managed to finish of Arghrash though and he was not happy with how the fight went.
Upon returning this time to claim his revenge he found that they weren't in the same spot and possibly were elsewhere until they reached this spot. To the side down the hill a bit were some Stingwing bugs which had spotted the lone madman near them.
V.A.T.S was needed for some solid and quick shots. The damage was high and with one taken out and turning to the other.. it shot something at him. "What the hell is this stuff? I feel.. funny right now.." Arghrash had suddenly died maybe due to poison from whatever it was.
This was a good time for him to re-evaluate and take due care upon the next time he wanders up those tracks, to ensure he can safely win the next fight and be able to continue growing stronger!
