Afri-InLeo Initiative 19 - That One Moment I Needed Music The Most.
Music is virtually everything I love to do, and it is my life. Right from my younger days, I loved music and I try as much as possible to ensure that I practice and make sure I get better at least one musical instrument. I said that I love to sing, and I love to listen to Good Music and when I say good music, I really mean music that really passes messages and not just a random music that you listen to, and you won't be able to gain one or two from it because even the lyrics of a song are able to give you a lot of messages that one won't think about, and that is what I term as a good music.
What made me really love music was when I had a crisis back then, when I was still younger, because for every human on Earth, it is very sure and certain that we will have one overwhelming time, but Music has helped me to scale through. This song I found delightful is a song that came to me while I was in my downtime. I was down and not sure of where I was heading, and I just got this feeling in me that I should keep pushing, and I got this song in my spirit that says, don't be afraid, God is not a man that makes promises and won't fulfill them.
This period was very tough for me because it was the period when I was trying to gain admission into the university, and then when you graduate from school, I mean the college, and you find it out to proceed into the university, a lot of people will look at you like someone who is serious, and they might probably see a lot of things that might want to sway you off your fit. But then, despite the crisis, I never relented. I kept pushing and kept motivating myself till after I spent over 6 years seeking admission, and on the 6th trial, that was when the song came to me, and it has always motivated me so much.
This song was created by a Nigerian singer named Hepzibah. He is a gospel singer and also an entertainer for events and a lot of places, and his songs have not just motivated me to do something but have also been something that has always kept me on my toes because the connection in the song lyrics is so much in line with what was going on in my life name, and after I started singing this song, I went for a series of examinations, and the examinations that I have been doing for the past years and that were giving me issues are now becoming something so easy.
As a matter of fact, for the last examination that I sat for, I was very sure I didn't study too much like I've been doing before, and that was the best result I ever had for all the examinations I sat for, and that was the same year I got admitted into the university. When the results came out for the shortlisting of students, I was just listed with the first batch ever in the school, and I was given admission to study the course I chose to study without an issue. It feels so easy and so good because the music was really involved, and I had so much to believe in it. This is just a wake-up call to everyone that music really has a strong impact on our lives if we can choose the right kind of music we sing and that one music will do the magic for us. Here is my little contribution to the #afritunes initiative.
