Mi primera vez en Pádel/My first time in Padel [ESP-ENG]

¿Hola chicos! Espero que estén muy bien. El día de hoy les voy a comentar cómo fue mi primera vez jugando pádel, un juego que está muy de moda en el último año y medio aquí en Venezuela.

Hello guys! I hope you are doing well. Today I'm going to tell you how was my first time playing paddle, a game that is very fashionable in the last year and a half here in Venezuela.

Este juego principalmente, lo han empezado a practicar personas que tratan de llevar un estilo de vida más chic o con más estilo como diríamos coloquialmente.

This game is mainly played by people who try to lead a more chic or stylish lifestyle, as we would say colloquially.

Generalmente las mujeres que juegan este deporte utilizan outfits más diseñados y más afeminados también, como por ejemplo, faldas.

Generally, women who play the sport wear more tailored and more effeminate outfits, such as skirts.

Para este día yo me puse una falda también, de color gris y la utilicé en conjunto con una blusa de escote cuadrado, que es muy cómoda y me parecía una buena opción para ir a jugar pádel.

For this day I wore a skirt too, in gray color and I used it together with a square neckline blouse, which is very comfortable and I thought it was a good option to go to play paddle.

Mi primera impresión es que el pádel tiene una cancha interesante, en una estructura rectangular que desconozco sus medidas, pero puedo ver que está encerrada en un vidrio o una especie de vidrio que permite que la pelota rebote en las paredes.

My first impression is that the paddle has an interesting court, in a rectangular structure that I don't know its measurements, but I can see that it is enclosed in glass or some kind of glass that allows the ball to bounce off the walls.

Este juego es muy interesante, imagínense al tenis común pero adicionándole de que no hay un dentro o fuera de la cancha como en algunos otros deportes, en donde hay una línea que marque cuando está fuera de la cancha, sino que la pelota puede rebotar en cualquier lugar que no sea en la red o en la malla y puede rebortar muchas veces en las paredes antes de que tú le des tu toque. Suceden cosas interesantes como golear la pelota contra el vidrio y que pase al otro lado de la red. Por supuesto que tiene algunas reglas, que no me voy a poner a explicarles porque no las conozco, pero siento de que es un deporte que necesita mucha actividad cerebral tienes que tener tus sentidos mucho más despiertos que por ejemplo en el tenis Beach, y siento que es un deporte muy bueno.

This game is very interesting, imagine regular tennis but with the addition that there is no inside or outside the court as in some other sports, where there is a line that marks when it is out of the court, but the ball can bounce anywhere other than the net or the mesh and can bounce many times on the walls before you give it your touch. Interesting things happen like hitting the ball against the glass and it goes over the net. Of course it has some rules, which I am not going to explain to you because I don't know them, but I feel that it is a sport that needs a lot of brain activity, you have to have your senses much more awake than for example in Beach tennis, and I feel that it is a very good sport.

Hay algo que sí me sucedió mientras estaba jugando y es que hace rato no sentía molestar o alguna sensación de incomodidad en mi rodilla, jugando este deporte sentí como mi rodilla estaba un poco sentida. No sé si tendrá algo que ver con posiciones que hago mal o si los movimientos que se realizan en este deporte pueden llegar a ser un poco lesivos.

There is something that did happen to me while I was playing and it is that it has been a while since I felt discomfort or any uncomfortable sensation in my knee, playing this sport I felt like my knee was a little bit sore. I do not know if it has something to do with positions that I do wrong or if the movements that are made in this sport can become a little harmful.

Lo que sí sé que es real es que los jugadores de pádel necesitan ir al fisioterapia frecuentemente porque los movimientos que hacen pueden llegar a lesionarse y de esta manera ellos evitan que esto suceda.

What I do know is that paddle players need to go to physiotherapy frequently because the movements they make can lead to injury and in this way they prevent this from happening.

También noté que a diferencia del tenis beach la raqueta del pádel, a pesar de que es parecida, es un poco menos larga y la paleta es un poco más gorda o grande, también es un poco más pesada y puede que probablemente este sea uno de los motivos por el cual ellos deben acudir a la fisioterapia.

I also noticed that unlike beach tennis the paddle racquet, although similar, is a little shorter and the paddle is a little fatter or bigger, it is also a little heavier and this is probably one of the reasons why they should go to physical therapy.

Definitivamente me pareció un deporte interesante muy bueno a nivel físico y puede que, hasta a un nivel mental. Le recomiendo ir a practicarlo con las mejores intenciones de aprender y la disposición de sudarse.

I definitely found it to be an interesting sport, very good on a physical level and maybe even on a mental level. I recommend you to go and practice it with the best intentions to learn and the willingness to sweat.
