Estoy en un cortejo nupcial | I am in a wedding procession 💒

Hace aproximadamente un mes he estado en el cortejo de una boda que se celebrará este domingo. La boda es del sobrino del pastor de la iglesia donde me congrego y hermano de una de mis hermanas de iglesia que también es mi amiga.

Todo comenzó porque al cortejo nupcial le faltaban dos chicas, así que me llamaron y me preguntaron si quería participar y si estaba en mis posibilidades económicas porque cada una tenía que comprar la tela y hacer su vestido. La otra chica que entró a participar es la prima de mi amiga y también va a la misma iglesia. La hermana del novio, que es mi hermana en Cristo y amiga mía, es la anunciadora de la novia. Así que juntas formamos parte del cortejo nupcial.

About a month ago I have been in the cortege of a wedding to be held this Sunday. The wedding is of the nephew of the pastor of the church where I congregate and brother of one of my church sisters who is also my friend.

It all started because the wedding procession was missing two girls, so they called me and asked me if I wanted to participate and if it was in my economic possibilities because each one had to buy the fabric and make her dress. The other girl who entered to participate is my friend's cousin and she also goes to the same church. The groom's sister, who is my sister in Christ and a friend of mine, is the bride's announcer. So together we are part of the bridal party.

Es la primera vez que participo en algo así. Estoy emocionada porque es una experiencia nueva para mí aunque es un poco estresante. sin embargo, disfruté del proceso de ensayo.

Me reí mucho mientras ensayábamos, los chicoos me hacen reír mucho, siempre están haciendo bromas sobre todo. Las chicas son un poco estrictas ya que pertenecen al grupo de danzas de su iglesia y están acostumbradas a hacer este tipo de cosas, sin embargo la paciencia que han tenido con los que no sabemos nada de esto ha sido excelente y hemos formado relaciones muy bonitas.

Además de todo, hemos tenido tiempo para compartir después de los ensayos porque muchas veces algunos esperamos a que vengan a buscarnos. Una vez nos pusimos de acuerdo para hacer unos perritos calientes y fue muy divertido, no hice muchas fotos porque es comida y con la comida solo me interesa comer y no hacer fotos.

This is my first time participating in something like this. I'm excited because it's a new experience for me even though it's a bit stressful. however, I enjoyed the rehearsal process.

I laughed a lot while we were rehearsing, the guys make me laugh a lot, they are always making jokes about everything. The girls are a bit strict as they belong to their church dance group and are used to doing this kind of thing, however the patience they have had with those of us who know nothing about it has been excellent and we have formed very nice relationships.

On top of everything else, we have had time to share after rehearsals because many times some of us wait for them to come and pick us up. Once we agreed to make some hot dogs and it was a lot of fun, I didn't take many pictures because it's food and with food I'm only interested in eating and not taking pictures.

En otras ocasiones hemos ido a la residencia donde vive una de las niñas y hemos aprovechado el tiempo libre para hacer unas fotos muy bonitas. Debo resaltar que amigas como ellas que intentan hacernos las mejores fotos no se encuentran a la vuelta de la esquina. Hacía mucho tiempo que no sabía lo que era tener amigas así como hermanas, y mucho menos salir a pasear y crear bonitos recuerdos. Me he divertido mucho, he disfrutado de cada momento.

On other occasions we have gone to the residence where one of the girls lives and we have taken advantage of the free time to take some very nice pictures. I have to emphasize that there are no friends like them who try to take the best pictures of us around the corner. It had been a long time since I knew what it was like to have friends like the sisters, let alone go for a walk and create beautiful memories. I had so much fun, I enjoyed every moment.

Después de cada ensayo volvía cansada, a veces íbamos en autobús, a veces en coche pero es inevitable no quemarse por el sol en esta ciudad, es horrible pero volvía satisfecha porque me lo pasaba muy bien con las chicas. Principalmente las tres, de hecho cantamos, quizás algún día les traiga un video de nosotras cantando, descubrimos que hacemos un buen coro. Algo bueno salió de todo esto. After each rehearsal I came back tired, sometimes we went by bus, sometimes by car but it's inevitable not to get sunburned in this city, it's horrible but I came back satisfied because I had a great time with the girls. Mainly the three of us, we actually sang, maybe someday I will bring you a video of us singing, we discovered that we make a good choir. Something good came out of all this.
