Esta canción estaba de moda precisamente cuando nuestra madre compro casa propia y tuvimos que mudarnos de ciudad. Ella estaba feliz, pero nosotros estábamos tristes, porque dejamos nuestras amistades. Mamá nos decía que lo importante era que estábamos juntos y con nuestra casa propia, que era grande y con un cuarto para cada uno, en ese momento éramos cuatro hermanos, dos hembras y dos varones.

Recuerdo que los viernes nos reuníamos en nuestra casa para practicar los diferentes pasos del baile “VASELINA”, primero lo hacíamos por diversión y después una vecina que era maestra encontró un local, registro una escuela de baile y nos llevo con ella, formamos un grupo y hacíamos presentaciones en diversos actos culturales a nivel nacional, hacíamos los bailes de VASELINA y también algunas veces bailábamos SAMBA Y SALSA. De esta época, aún mantengo amistad con chicas y chicos, aunque estamos regados en diferentes países, nos comunicamos por WhatsApp.

We adapted quickly to our new home, the people were loving, attentive, cheerful, helpful and friendly. I remember that on Fridays we met in our house to practice the different steps of the "GREASE" dance, first we did it for fun and then a neighbour who was a teacher found a place, registered a dance school and took us with her, we formed a group and we made presentations at various cultural events nationwide, we did the GREASE dances and also sometimes we danced SAMBA and SALSA.From this time, I still maintain friendships with girls and boys, although we are scattered in different countries, we communicate by WhatsApp.
