Visiting Puja pandals | Enjoy the colours

Last five-six days were very exciting and ofcoruse memorable. In case if you dont know, this in the biggest occassion in india and specially in West Bengal. It's Durga Puja. The Goddess comes here on earth from her father's house for a week or so to fight demon inside us and make us puified. You can check intro post of Goddess Durga

Today is the day to bade good bye her and we call it Bijaya Dasami and we through her in the holly river Gangesh. People also give her "Bisarjan" in ponds where there is no river near by. We touch our elders' feet and they give us blessings. Without further ado let's enjoy the Devi Durga's idol and pandals.

I haven't counted how many pandals I have visited so far. Let's start with our vicinity one, Bidhan Park puja Pandal.

This beautiful banner is made of lighting right on the opposite side of puja pandal.

I kept the picture dark to capture the pire lighting effect.

This is phots I took with lights. Lol I knew that it's light what make things more bright. It taught me lession when you wanna capture light(lightings) there is no need of extra light. It would more visible and clear in dark theme. 😆

As the photos are taken in Vijaya Dasami, time to say her good bye. So she is taken down from her pedastal. Now she being poured with sidur what an Hindu women conceive on her forehead after marriage. By the way in the idol she is not alone at all. Her sons and daughters are placed on her both sides. You can she the idol is quite wide.

This is the roof inside the pandals. In previous days thousands of people came here to see her ans there were long queue of people stood for our before getting chance to visit her.

Let's go to second one

This pandals is at near Duttupukur Hospital. There are lots of them but I found this one very interesting. Inner broght theme with a lot of crafts has blown people's mind away.

I think the entire structure is made of thermocal but I am not sure. We were not allowed to touch it. As everything is connected with electricity, touching it we could get shocked. Yet I ask a volunteer but he also didn't know.

Entire temporary pandal with fine arts on the three walls each containg four- five frame made it watch-worthy. I haven't seen this finest art befire.

The front is also espectcular. In the front, there is a lot of geen plants; lightings turn havenly staffs.

This the Protima (Idol) of Devi Durga. This is really beautiful. There two segment of the pandal. In the yard the theme is bright and the inner part where she is kept is totally dark.The concept is mind blowing.

Here people are on long queue for hours to have glance of her divine face. Of course many of them are only awaiting for pandal and arts inside it.

Some lightings outside. They are not focussing out side street lightings though. All expenditure made on inner decoration and to build her idol.

For your kind informtion, all the protimas( idols) gonna use in my next posts including this two I have shared with you are ordered to produce half an year ago. Because these arts need time and there is not only one protima; every puja pandal got at least one of her idol. Like this there are tousands of them but the number of artist are very limited. So people or all the clubs who organise it must order in advance to get the work done in time.

I am not good at capturing all those lightings. Initially I tried to it enhancing camera lights. I was a fool not to capturing them with loewring down enchantment. In next posts I'll share others visiting to puja puja pandel without better lighting experience.
