🇪🇸 ~ Desde el aspecto de la confección, como cosplayer puedes enamorarte perdidamente de un diseño meramente por su composición, incluso si no sabes nada del lore del personaje.
Opiniones hay muchas sobre qué es o no es suficiente motivo para cosplayar un personaje, yo considero que al tratarse de tu dinero y de tu tiempo, cualquier motivo es valido, incluso si es meramente visual.
Y en mi caso, me encantan los retos, ver algo que no he hecho antes o algo para lo que tengo que estudiar para entender cómo se construye es una de las razones por las que selecciono personajes.
Hoy actualice mi carpeta de cosplay con 3 nuevas adquisiciones y para motivarme voy a compartir algunos de los artes guía que he guardado.
🇺🇸 ~ From the clothing aspect, as a cosplayer you can fall madly in love with a design merely because of its composition, even if you don't know anything about the character's lore.
There are many opinions about what is or is not enough reason to cosplay a character, I consider that when it comes to your money and your time, any reason is valid, even if it is merely visual.
And in my case, I love a challenge, seeing something I haven't done before or something I have to study for to understand how it's constructed is one of the reasons I select characters.
Today I updated my cosplay folder with 3 new acquisitions and to motivate myself I'm going to share some of the guide arts I've saved.

RyuZU de Clockwork Planet (クロックワーク・プラネッ) además de tener una paleta de colores familiar y un peinado simple -muchos puntos positivos por eso- tiene un vestido con muchísimas capas diferentes, todas planas, y un volumen extraño en la falda que a momentos parece armadura y en otras versiones oficiales, de tela por su caída. Lo que me ha enamorado de este personaje -del que solo se su nombre- es el decorado de la cabeza junto al velo, y la composición de la falda -de nuevo, puntos extra por el lazo de la espalda- La serie esta en mi lista de pendientes, apenas de leído las sinopsis, quiero sorprenderme.
RyuZU from Clockwork Planet (クロックワーク・プラネッ) besides having a familiar color palette and a simple hairstyle -many plus points for that- has a dress with many different layers, all flat, and a strange volume in the skirt that at times looks like armor and in other official versions, fabric for its fall. What has made me fall in love with this character -of which I only know her name- is the head decoration with the veil, and the composition of the skirt -again, extra points for the bow on the back-. The series is on my pending list, as soon as I read the synopsis, I want to be surprised.

Lailah de Tales of Zestiria (テイルズ オブ ゼスティリア) tiene este maravilloso contraste de rojo con blanco y unas maravillosas mangas con una geometría extraña; el diseño de la falda varía entre los artes y las capturas del anime, pero lo veo como un proyecto viable como constancia de tus habilidades en costura. Si, definitivamente quiero coser este vestido, y esa diadema-cintillo es muy halagadora.
Lailah from Tales of Zestiria (テイルズ オブ ゼスティリア) has this wonderful contrast of red with white and wonderful sleeves with weird geometry; the skirt design varies between the arts and the anime captures, but I see it as a viable project as a constancy of your sewing skills. Yes, I definitely want to sew this dress, and that headband-cintillo is very flattering.

Jeanne D'Arc de Mahou Taisen estaba en mi lista de "no estoy segura" porque el vestido me parecía demasiado simple, pero he cambiado de opinion a razon de los props. Esas cruces-escudos son piezas bastante puntuales que creo en persona se verán impactantes. Tambien me gusto su corte de cabello, ya he usado pelucas de ese estilo y me favorecen mucho... Y ES AZUL, TODO AZUL, me encanta el azul :3
Jeanne D'Arc from Mahou Taisen was on my “not sure” list because the dress seemed too simple, but I've changed my mind because of the props. Those crosses-shields are pretty spot-on pieces that I think in person will look stunning. I also liked her haircut, I've worn wigs like that before and they really suit me... AND IT'S BLUE, ALL BLUE, I love blue :3
Por supuesto que leere los mangas y vere las series de cada uno de estos personajes para poder entenderlos, no tengo intensión de dejar de lado la parte de la interpretación.
Me ha parecido una grandiosa oportunidad para hablar de este tema, sobre que no siempre tienes que conocer al personaje antes para poder hacer cosplay de el.
He incluso, es muy posible desencantarse de un cosplan una vez conoces la personalidad e historia del personaje que por su diseño te ha enamorado, ¡no es extraño que suceda!, lo he visto antes, pero espero no sea mi caso 😂 👍 💦
Of course I will read the manga and watch the series of each of these characters in order to understand them, I don't intend to leave aside the interpretation part.
It seemed to me a great opportunity to talk about this topic, that you don't always have to know the character before to be able to cosplay them.
I have even, it is very possible to become disenchanted with a cosplan once you know the personality and history of the character that by its design you have fallen in love with, it's not strange that it happens, I've seen it before, but I hope it's not my case 😂 👍 💦
