EXPLORE THE ANCIENT AND COFUCIAN ARCHITECTURE OF THE MINH MANG TOMB๐
Referring to Hue, we all know that this is a place with thousands of years of cultural and historical beauty. Many historical monuments and famous architectural works still exist and are kept until now. The most prominent are the architectural works of the Nguyen Dynasty.
Before that, I shared with everyone about 2 famous places, Khai Dinh Tomb and Tu Duc Tomb. If you want to read, visit my blog!
Today, let's explore the architecture of the next mausoleum with me and my two friends!
This is one of the mausoleums dubbed by Vietnamese youth as a place of thousands of views - Minh Mang Tomb.
Do you know why this place is called the place of thousands of views?
Not to lie, but when shooting from any angle inside here you will also get ecstatic pictures. This place is a favorite place for young Vietnamese when they visit Hue every time. Now let's discover what's special inside Minh Mang Tomb!
The process of going to Minh Mang Tomb
This is truly a meaningful afternoon
We drove a long distance under the blazing sun of 36 37 degrees, but all the fatigue was dispelled when opening up before our eyes was a very wonderful landscape.
Because it was the first time to visit Minh Mang Tomb, we got lost. After many times asking the people here, we finally arrived at Minh Mang Tomb.
But the irony is that we still park in the wrong place ๐
And we took a shortcut. It is quite small and a bit difficult to go but the view along the way is very cool and the air is very fresh.
MINH MANG TOMB
Like Khai Dinh Tomb and Tu Duc Tomb. Minh Mang Tomb is also located in the mountains surrounded by forests, rivers, and mountains. But Minh Mang Tomb goes further, 12km from the center of Hue city.
About the history of Minh Mang Tomb: Minh Mang Tomb was built in 1840, the works of the mausoleum were designed by Emperor Minh Mang and named Hieu Lang (when the emperor died, it was called Minh Mang Tomb). It was built when he was alive, but when it was halfway built, he died. His son (Emperor Thieu Tri) took over the throne, one month after his father's death, King Thieu Tri and his high officials Ta Quang Cu, Ha Duy Phien, Nguyen Tri Phuong commanded nearly 10,000 soldiers and workers continued the construction according to drawings and diagrams left by the Emperor's father. By 1843, Hieu Lang was completed.

Count the architectural scales including palaces, and temples. A total of 40 construction
The main gate to the mausoleum is Dai Hong Mon, behind it is a large courtyard with statues of soldiers, elephants, and horses.
At the end of the yard is Bi Dinh, inside there is a stone stele engraved with the merits of Emperor Minh Mang called "Thanh Duc Than Cong". A few dozen steps more is a mausoleum with both majestic, classical architecture and bold Confucianism.
Minh Mang Tomb has 2 bridges. A bridge crosses Trung Minh lake to Minh Lau. The second bridge named Tan Nguyet embraces Buu Thanh, that bridge crosses Khai Trach Son hill. At the same time, there are many symmetrical sides constructs in pairs that look very unique.
Minh Mang Tomb is a very cool place because it is surrounded by lakes and forests. The architecture is old but still retains its majesty. Although some places have a lot of green moss clinging to them, that cannot obscure the aesthetics of the mausoleum. After Tu Duc Tomb, Minh Mang Tomb is a place that attracts many tourists to visit it.
The ticket price is not too expensive, 150,000 VND/adult, and children and the elderly get a 50% discount. The mausoleum is open from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm on all days of the week, including Sunday.
This is an ideal place for history buffs. Please visit and enjoy. Wish everyone has a great ride!
*Note: The historical knowledge is all learned by me in books during my internship.
