We're building back up, we have served 285 before the mayor started running them off. He's not a good man!
Next month, we will be feeding them turkey with all the fixings. That cooking will take about a week.

285 is a huge number but hope you are getting funds as support from individuals.
Turkey, wow š® am sure they will be very elated.
But the cooking taking a whole week, that means you will have to start early so as to meet up with the day you will be taking it to them.
You are really doing a great work, well-done š
We cook and slice the turkeys, to speed up the serving. We heat the slices in turkey gravy on location so they are hot. That let's us make the fixings the day before, so the meal is right. We plan 10 turkeys this year....

One of our regular homeless was guiding a newbie through the line. He told the newbie to try everything because it was like eating at a restaurant, and he can come back through for what he likes! That was encouraging....

Really encouraging but the most important part of it is that they feel really happy and homely
And that they get one Good hot meal a month! It's good to see them full too.

He does all the time, we were able to find turkeys for $0.40 a pound for next month's meal. That will help us a lot to get enough to feed the homeless! Since we are paying most of the cost out of pocket, this will help immensely.
