Sunday = Fun Gun Day with Papa (^_^)v
I had a really interesting Sunday. Usually, I'd just stay at home and rest because it's my day off. However, my papa invited me to go with him for a bit. There's this event happening in one of the malls in our area and it's related to guns.
I'm always fascinated with these things. I'm no expert, but he knows it would be an amusing way for me to spend my day off and to unwind. He was supposed to go the day before, but decided to go on the final day so I could go with him. Mama didn't come with us because she had to take care of Arashi and she's not as interested as papa and me.
It was quite hot that day. We were waiting for our bus that would take us directly to mall. However, it was taking a long time. Fortunately, there was this cab that took us together with the other people who were going to the same destination.
It was just a little past ten in the morning on a Sunday, so the roads were still very calm. It's usually busy in the afternoon. Since the road was in a great condition, we got to our destination in just less than 15 minutes.
That's the mall where the event we're going to is being held. It was actually a 4-day event and we went on the last day. Once we're in the mall, we went directly to the "Sky Hall".
The admission for the event was free, but we had to register in order to get in. So, we got our tickets and got stamped as we entered.
These 9 cal rifles greeted us immediately as we entered. Well, this event is related to guns. It's originally a caravan for people to take some examinations related to getting a permit to legally have a gun. However this year, a bunch of gun stores from the Philippines joined in in this event. They're selling discounted guns and other accessories.
Some people came to get a license, others came to buy their own guns and other stuff, while most of the people were like us who just came to check the awesome items. Well, papa got his ID or permit last year, but he's still saving to buy one. He used to serve the country. He started training during his teenage years for a special group in the military before they were dissolved and later on absorbed in the police. So, he has always been fascinated with guns. And seeing him dismantle and clean his guns while he was still in service years ago, it also got me interested. :)
There were also a bunch of pistols of 9MM, 40 or 45 caliber. Some of the designs were simple, while others are pretty intricate.
This looks like the gun "Dominator" in the anime "Psycho Pass". Dominator was more high-tech though since it uses AI system when firing it. haha
This reminds me of the "Lorcin" air gun I had as a child. I grew up with my maternal male cousins, so I used to play with them. It somehow made me feel nostalgic.
I could only take pictures from this area because we're not allowed to go closer to the guns in this stall. They're mostly rifles and maybe shotguns? The last one (wooden type) on the left side reminds me of my CAT (Citizenship Advancement Training) way back in high school. We had to march while holding a 'wooden rifle' and throw them mid-air. Training days were tough but also fun.
There were also these really tiny ones. There are small pistols and magnum and ranger revolvers available as well. My late godfather had a tiny magnum revolver which was similar to the ones above. I just forgot the exact type.
Among all the guns displayed or being sold in the event, I really like these pistols below, especially the SPC9 PDW...
I had to go back to these stalls to look at these babies one more time before papa and I headed out of the event venue. haha
Anyway, there weren't only guns displayed or sold in these stalls. There were other stuff as well like the following:
There were some bullet proof car, car windows and ballistic curtains.
There were also some gun accessories like scopes and bullets.
There were also these boats and some portable fire extinguishers...
Among the other displays, something caught my eyes...
There were also some katana displayed in this stall!!!! And you might see San Goku beside it as well. lol
I'm a sucker for skulls, so I took pictures of anything with it. I love those mugs, though. There were Game of Thrones and Harry Potter ones, but these skull designs were just <3 <3 <3 WELP, my mama doesn't want to see these in the house, though. haha
And lastly, I saw this really cute Teddy Bear wearing a Philippine Police uniform!
And yeah, they sold some shoes, bags, clothes and many more items as well.
After an hour or so, papa and I went out of the venue and walked around... I'll be sharing the other pictures on my next post as they're not really related to this "Fun Gun Day" blog. All in all, it was so interesting. I hope papa takes me to a firing range next time. It would be an awesome experience. We usually just play with some air soft gun at home.
That's it for our Sunday Fun Gun Day. I'll talk about the other activity we did next time. Thanks for checking this post out! See you around!
