Garden Update: Our Garden's Visitors This Morning <3

The weather was fine and sunny this morning, so I got the chance to visit and enjoy our garden earlier. I didn't bring my phone when I was there because I simply wanted to check our plants and see their progress.

In certain days, I take my phone with me to update my blog about it... and this morning wasn't one of those days. However, I changed my mind when I was there because I saw some really cute visitors in some of our plants. So, I asked my papa to hand me my phone so I could take some photos of the small creatures lurking in our garden.

On top of our aloe vera plant was this pretty dragonfly. Ever since I was a child I have been fascinated by dragonflies and butterflies because they have such lovely wings. The patterns on their wings are so artistic, so it made me realize how amazing nature can be. Nature is an art!

It flew when I got too close, but it landed on another aloe vera plant. It's kind of lucky because I could take its picture from another angle. Isn't it beautiful?

Seeing it made me excited because it reminds me of my childhood. There were a lot of insects in our compound back then, so my cousins and I enjoyed observing them. We even caught some bugs or beetles as well as some spiders. As I grew older, I see less insects than before. So having this cute dragonfly visit our garden made me happy.

Then, when I checked the eggplants, I saw this tiny baby mantis trying to camouflage in it. It looks so cute. A few months ago, there was a big mantis which came inside our house. It was difficult to take a clear photo of it because it was near the ceiling. We just let it be and it eventually found its way out.

I hope it only eats the other harmful insects in our garden and not the helpful ones. These insects can be beneficial to our garden as well, so it's better to leave them be as long as they don't harm the plants.

Usually, I just get rid of some worms trying to eat the leaves of our plants, but so far there aren't any and I hope it continues that way.

Looking at these insects can be healing in some way... well, at least for me. <3 Thanks for checking this post out. See you next time for another garden update!
