Travelling Again So Soon?

Well don't be fooled this is costing me a big cut off my December vacation but at the end of the day what does it matter? I'm still going to have a blasting December vacation!

Anyways! It was something that was planned some time ago but also something that completely slipped out of my mind! These last two months were pretty hectic to begin with, but we've made it through and now we get to enjoy the nice time away from the rushed life!

The entire thing about this vacation was to take the Old Pops away, it has been far too long since he last had a vacation so I thought dangit! Let's just do it? Make a date and stick with it!

A Longer Journey Than Usual!

Usually we try and get to the seaside without making too many stops, this time we made a lot more stops! But I wanted my old man to be able to stretch his legs well enough on the long journey down!

So we stopped at everything we thought looked cool! Okay not at everything but most sites that you can refer to as marker points or whatever one may call it!
This tree we spotted at the "BeerVleiDam" but the tree doesn't actually have any significance at all I just thought it looked hella cool.

Mayhaps I'm wrong! Why not make a journey of the journey right?

The Statue Of The Fighting Angel!

Now this was something to behold! Truth be told the fact that I haven't seen this before is actually mind blowing! Shows you how much we actually pay attention!

This is located in Graaf-Reinett a town I've passed through more times than I can count! Hectic! Now the problem is this part of the town is being neglected! This is actually located in-front of the Mayor's office in Graaf-Reinett but it's not a sight to behold!

Maybe once upon a time it was but not any more! It needs a touch up real bad! So here's the Angel standing guard infront of the building!

The Real Gem!

Now this is a sight to behold! This I can tell you through and through!

The picture does not do justice to how absolutely beautifull this place is!

By far the most stunning church I have ever seen in my life! Well of-course there are plenty of churches out there that looks damn jaw dropping beautifull! But none that I have ever seen with my own eyes!

The majesticness of this is out of this world! The feeling you get when experiencing this is absolute!
The one thing I can't seem to do is go inside the premises! But I don't just want to enter the premises I would have loved to enter the church and behold the inside of it!

Now that would be a thing right?!?!

We Have Finally Arrived!

Now this is another thing to behold! Equally as beautifull but in a totally different class won't you say?

Given the wind was real bad up there, worse than normal when we get out to take in the scenery! But there is no feeling like this guys and gals! It's way up high with nothing but downhill infront of you and nothing but mountains besides you! It almost feels like you're going to conquer the world! You're not though!

Driving through the canyons was a real pleasure though!

Always To The Shopping!

We did decide to pack light for this week! Real light, meaning we brought nothing but clothes! We didn't tag along any cooler with meat in or nothing! We simply just went down to the seaside!

It's quite fun doing it like, because the un-loading of the car is so much easier then! But it's all fun and games until you've got to go shopping after a long time on the road! Not fun at all but still beats tagging everything along!

For now the rest of the day will be enjoyed for relaxation!
