All Stacked Out And Prepped Up!
Well Hello There Horsepower Lovers!!
Let's Try For The Perfect Build!
Ahhhh man I don't know why bossman just doesn't want to do that?
What I mean with that is to teardown all of the pistons as well, I mean it wont even take an hour to clean all of them? One circlip in each drum and they will just popout!
Mayhaps one day when I've got my own little shop I can twinkle the stuff up the way I want it!
This is going to be an easy one though, this appears to be a massive bush failure, probably prolonged on the oil change!
Couldn't Get It Better!
Whelp I tried my best to take a nice photo but I had to use the flash and well now it looks flashy!
What happened here... well actually I don't know how this happened?
It looks like the shafts were butchered to fit into one another and they might have damaged the outer ridge of it.
OR
That's just how it got worn out, easy fix, just needs a new bush and she will be good to go!
Two Parts That Make One!
That's where most techies get caught, they fix the one that's visual and then no one even thinks of checking the other side of it, this is like the cause as to why this transmission failed, the bush got caught up on the shaft and started binding to it and well when that happens you start to loose an insane amount of oil pressure right off the bat!
Better to replace this shaft as well, I wont at all suggest polishing it off! That wont work!
I mean it will work but it wont last!
Apologies this is the shaft that the bush bit down on.
So all in all we have to check ALL of the bushes on this job, otherwise we might be getting a comeback in a few months! We don't want that right?
I had a good laugh at bossman, because he didn't tear this one down he didn't see all the damage and when he started building it he just threw everything in there.... Halfway through he realized that he should probably check everything out ey!
Fortunately you can just pull everything out with no hiccups!
All Sorted!
Well this is all sorted for bossman!
While I got everything ready I decided to brew up a storm for myself and since bossman will be hella busy with this I can go ahead and enjoy my cup of coffee in peace!
While I enjoy the coffee and talk some crap to bossman I decided on what I need to do next, that'll be to prepare the casing!
Oh hell no, I can't sit and talk crap, bossman needs the casing!
Jumping right on that!
I Impressed Myself!
This time around I really did! I take so much care to cover up everything that doesn't need to get spray on the inside of it!
The trick with painting casings is to not over do it, you just want a thin layer on that steel! Otherwise in about six months they'll start to peel off badly and peeking in underneath the car, which no one will do.. but it wont be a pretty sight!
Nothing will be wrong but it would not look fancy at all!
Awaiting!
All sorted bossman! You're time to shine is nigh!
I've done and prepped the casing and the valve body as well, I wanted to do a run through on that but I think everyone has seen that far too many times! So no valve body for today!
The valve body was where the real mess was! I mean the bushes got worn out but that steel ended up in the valve body! Now we just hope that it didn't cause too much damage. We shall see once we actually do a road test on the vehicle.
For now be good peeps!
