Jeff, IMHO, India is doing great for now. And that was just the ban of older bank notes in circulation that has to be deposited back but the full value was funded into account and can be cashed out in new notes later on. This was done due to fight counterfeit done by Pakistan minting press for those older notes and to keep a check on black money with majority of being in possession of bad politicians in overseas banks.
