Volumetric lighting and hair Render in blender.
An original character made with blender. I sued a based meshed body from Sketchfab. Added hair particle system into the character and add a rig onto the base model for it to be able to pose. Three lighting setup with volumetric lighting on. It took more than 1 hour to bake the hair particle system into the system cache and after that with only using 512 sample on cycle and GPU render setting, it took about two to three minutes for the render to finished.
The suppose to be rock where she was squatting was made using a basic cylinder mesh and I did some sculpting to make uneven shape onto the surface. Added some image texture to the rock mesh and adjust the material to get the correct color and lighting bounces. The waist accessories was made by myself too using a torus basic mesh and sculpted to get a good shape to fit on the waist.
This render was taken after more than 10 tries. The render really took lots of resources on my computer. I had to search on how to optimize the render setting but it looks like there are no specific answer for my problem. I will continue doing this project until I get the most optimized setting and a good render that I like. This is all from me today. I hope that we will meet again on the next post. Cheers!
