Depending upon your age, you might be eligible for a long life span. We know things are advancing on the technological front that those in their 40s and below have a chance to live until a period where the average life expectancy jumps drastically.

In this video I discuss how this could affect things. We need to understand the financial implications, especially on the personal front. At the same time, how does our thinking change if we find out that ending work is not done at 65.

Well, I would like to see the world figure out some way to better social services / basic income -

I know a lot people frown on 'free money' just for living - but f*** me, I'm disabled without support as it is - not looking forward to living under a bridge and living to 100 LOL

You are in crypto, I believe you will do well.

It is the ones who are not in crypto that I think will have the issues. Crypto, whatever one's amount being held, if it is the right ones, will appreciate greatly.

This doesn't include all the issues where cities and states pulled money out of the pension system to fund their own projects. They are busy paying off the massive debt that they incurred and I think some of them also promised higher payouts to the citizens to get votes.

Living longer is definitely going to be interesting. I can expect technology to continue to develop and I wonder how all these benefit systems sustain themselves. All I see is something that will collapse soon. A new system to generate the funds will be required.

It is going to be really interesting to see what part governments play and how they evolve going forward. Will they start to take a back seat as we become more digital?

There is a lot of things that are going to get upended. Disruption is here it is only a question of who is going to be affected.

I think the government will fight back as much as they can. Those old guys in Congress will never give up power. I expect everyone to be affected to an extent and the poor to be heavily disrupted.

Of course they will fight back. Yet the challenge they have is they do not understand what is going on. They are still operating upon a belief and a rule system established in the physical realm. We are in an entirely new arena.

The fact that the Senate is full of fossils shows how little they are likely to change.

Yes please, I can't do anything when I'm dead so seems lame to die. However it does bring up a host of major issues like you went over. Those fall back retirement plans are going blow up into nothing.

The Pension Fund crisis in the US is mounting even with a record stock market. Can you imagine what things will look like when the market crashes?

It's going to be a mess. In just 15 years we lost 401k's, Pensions and Social Security won't be around by the time I can finally tap into it. It use to be 10 to 1 paying into social security I think we are at 2:1 but after covid most likely 1:1 or worse.

@taskmaster4450 having a longlife span is something i believe that most of us will actually want including me,i would want to live a long life,so knowing that it is possible to extend my life span makes me get excited,and technology keeps amazing me,nothing is impossible when it comes to technology....
