1/ Vitalik Buterin is trying to address a couple issues on Ethereum while also "uniting" the community. He did this in a new proposal.

2/ The problem is the fees are too high and scaling remains an issue. This is something that Hive does not really have to worry about at this point.

3/ Here is where we see the problem of tx fees (direct) also entering the picture. Outside of finance, most are not accustomed to paying this for each activity.
