Can Steem And Hive Co-Exist?
(Edited)
The answer is, yes it is possible. Will it happen? I can't answer that.
In this video I delve into the different issues surrounding this and how I see the opportunity for all who are involved.

Yep, they can co-exist but Hive will strive since it's a community project. Blockchain is all about community.
The day is going to eventually come where the community has to choose. Do you want to continue on the Steem blockchain or the Hive blockchain? Given Steem is in unchartered and unknown territory and furthermore, Justin and his team clearly have plans to replace Steem with Tron. The writing is on the wall, it's either Hive or Steem. My money is on Hive.
Thank you for your post, I believe its valuable information
A fair and objective presentation of the current situation given what little reliable information that is available. It is the lack of information that creates uncertainty which, by the way, is not the same as fear.

.Summary:
In this video, the speaker discusses the recent news of a new chain being released as a fork of Steam by Blocktrades, called Hive. The speaker explains that the new chain will not result in any data loss from Steam but will essentially operate as a sister chain with its own data from the point of the fork. The speaker emphasizes that forks can be positive, decentralizing platforms and providing users with more options. He discusses the implications for content creators and users in choosing between Steam and Hive, highlighting the importance of developer decisions in determining which chain to use. The speaker also delves into the potential outcomes for both chains and encourages users to stay positive and open to opportunities presented by the changes.
Detailed Article:
The video begins with the speaker addressing the audience about the recent buzz surrounding Hive, a new chain forked from Steam by Blocktrades. He explains that Blocktrades announced the new chain, which will not result in any loss of data but rather create two chains operating with their own data from the fork point. The speaker points out that forks, such as this one, can be beneficial for decentralization and increasing options for users and content creators.
He discusses the potential implications for users in terms of which chain to use, stating that the decision ultimately lies with the application developers behind the platforms. Using the example of ActiFit, the speaker illustrates how users' choice of platform depends on where the application decides to operate – either on Steam or Hive. The speaker also brings up the concept of witnesses on the chains and the importance of having the right technical people in place to maintain the blockchain's integrity.
The speaker delves into the motivations and intentions behind Justin Sun's involvement in Steam and speculates about the future of both Steam and Hive based on the actions and decisions of the respective teams. He highlights the significance of community support in determining the value of tokens and currencies and emphasizes the value that the community brings to any blockchain project.
Further, the speaker encourages users and content creators to remain positive and open-minded about the changes happening, suggesting that playing both chains may be a wise decision. He uses the analogy of posting on multiple social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter to illustrate the benefits of using both Steam and Hive. In conclusion, the speaker urges viewers to focus on the opportunities that arise from the Hive fork and to avoid negativity or pessimism about the future of Steam or Hive.
