Entre colores y alegría: Mi experiencia en las Comparsas del Municipio Simón Rodríguez
Martes 13 de febrero, un día más para festejar el Carnaval en nuestra amada Venezuela y esta vez fuimos a ver las comparsas a un municipio vecino, El Tigre (Edo. Anzoátegui), que está a pocos minutos de donde vivimos.
Llegamos a la avenida desde donde apreciaríamos el desfile a las 4:30 P.M., porque en teoría comenzaba a las 2:00 P.M.; sin embargo, comenzó a las 5:45. Lo bueno es que no teníamos prisa y estábamos de muy buen humor, así que esperar un poco más de una hora, no nos cambiaría el estado de ánimo.
En la primera carroza estaban varias reinas, entre ellas la de Carnaval del municipio, desde esa carroza iban lanzando unos pañuelos para la cabeza y unos envases plásticos para guardar agua, no vi que lanzaran caramelos, que es lo más frecuente por tradición. Muchas personas perseguían el camión para atrapar algún obsequio.
Luego pudimos ver los diferentes disfraces, todos coloridos, propios del Carnaval, con varias bandas de calipso y también minitecas, así que música no faltó.
Me esforcé por tomar las fotografías lo mejor que podía, sin embargo, habían muchas personas en medio, así que no todas me quedaron bien, más elegí mis favoritas para compartirlas con ustedes.
Todo fluyó con normalidad, hay muchas personas que aunque no estaban en ninguna comparsa, aprovecharon de ponerse sus disfraces.
Me impresionó ver que luego de la última carroza, habían dos camiones con minitecas o equipos de sonido gigantes y un montón de gente bailando a su alrededor, avanzando a medida que avanzaban los camiones. Esas personas eran felices bailando tras las comparsas.
Y para más, detrás de todos en el desfile, estaba una cuadrilla de la compañía de aseo del municipio, recogiendo la basura que estaba en el camino, así que literalmente, todo quedó como si nada hubiera pasado. Me pareció una iniciativa muy acertada.
Realmente la pasamos bien. Hay muchas maneras de divertirse saludablemente, disfrutando las diferentes opciones que están en nuestro entorno, sólo tenemos que tener la disposición de hacerlo.

Tuesday, February 13, one more day to celebrate Carnival in our beloved Venezuela and this time we went to see the parades in a neighboring municipality, El Tigre (Anzoátegui State), which is just a few minutes away from where we live.
We arrived at the avenue from where we would appreciate the parade at 4:30 P.M., because in theory it was supposed to start at 2:00 P.M.; however, it started at 5:45. The good thing is that we were not in a hurry and we were in a very good mood, so waiting a little more than an hour, would not change our mood.
In the first float there were several queens, among them the Carnival queen of the municipality, from that float they were throwing some handkerchiefs for the head and some plastic containers to keep water, I did not see them throwing candy, which is the most frequent by tradition. Many people were chasing the truck to catch a gift.
Then we could see the different costumes, all colorful, typical of Carnival, with several calypso bands and also minitecas, so there was no lack of music.
I tried my best to take the pictures as best I could, however, there were many people in the way, so not all of them turned out well, but I chose my favorites to share with you.
Everything flowed normally, there are many people that even though they were not in any comparsa, they took the opportunity to put on their costumes.
I was impressed to see that after the last float, there were two trucks with minitecas or giant sound systems and a lot of people dancing around them, advancing as the trucks were advancing. Those people were happy dancing behind the comparsas.
And to top it off, behind everyone in the parade, there was a crew from the municipality's sanitation company, picking up the garbage that was in the way, so literally, everything was left as if nothing had happened. I thought it was a very good initiative.
We really had a good time. There are many ways to have fun in a healthy way, enjoying the different options that are in our environment, we just have to be willing to do it.
