Let's Make A Watercolor Bookmark : Dia Tanpa Aku

Hello guys....

Because i just bought new watercolor so i will try it now, i will try my watercolor to make bookmark. Right now I'm wanting to make a watercolor bookmark for a novel that I have, I'm going to adjust the bookmark to the cover or story of the novel. And the first one I'm going to make a bookmark for the novel Dia Tanpa Aku.

The items that I will use are watercolors from Joyko brand, then watercolor paper that is half A6 in size, watercolor paper with a thickness of 200 gsm. I also use 2 round brush sizes, sizes 12 and 2. Purple fineliner from Faber Castell brand, white pen from Gelly Roll Sakura, Pencil and washi tape.

First prepare A6 sized watercolor paper, then cut it into 2 parts. Let's use 1 part, use washi tape around the watercolor paper, make it like a frame to make it easier to paint.

Then start sketching the picture using a pencil, because I want to make a painting like a novel cover then I will sketch a street with a building beside it, add some details to the sketch such as road lines, doors, windows and also car sketches.

Spray water onto the watercolor paper, then add light gray watercolor all over the paper. Wait for it to dry before giving it another color.

Color the building on the right with a light purple color, the window parts use a darker purple color, then on the other windows use a yellowish green color. Likewise for the color of the canopy.

For the building on the left use dark purple, while for windows use light purple and yellow. For the canopy use the same color as the one on the building on the right.

Colorize the car using red and black for the shadows, and outline the road using light gray.

On the side of the road, also color it using light purple. Then redraw the sketch that was made using the purple Fineliner and for the car using a white pen.

And the watercolor bookmark for the novel Dia Tanpa Aku is finished, don't forget to remove the washi tape carefully so as not to damage the bookmark.
