Where I've Been: Activities and Events Last October and November 2021

So here we go again. Honestly I'm completely embarrassed as to how I haven't been active for a month, and I wouldn't even try to use my main job as an excuse since most of the people that I know here have jobs of their own outside Hive. To be truly candid, I really felt uninspired, and to add, I didn't have a lot of exciting stuff to talk about. The past month has been nothing but work load for me, I didn't get the chance to visit a new place, and I don't have past travels that I could bring back since I don't travel a lot. However, I feel like it would be unfair to those people who trusted me if I wouldn't try, so here it goes.

My October-November Slambook

Since I haven't posted anything the past month, I'll try to rethink of the significant memories I had through the end of October going to November. Last month, Hive Cebu celebrated our first Hivelloween party. When the photos came out I really wanted to write a blog about it but I also saw a lot of blogs from those who attended and I feel like if I were to write one, it might just be repetitive for the readers, which I'm obviously wrong about. Every author has different takes in highlighting an event so even if it's similar, the experience of reading it wouldn't be the same. During the event I had the honor to be its Host. I haven't hosted in a while so it was really such a breath of fresh air. I had nothing but absolute fun and I'm glad they took the time to appreciate what I did on stage.

I cosplayed as Ahri from a mobile game League of Legends, I was grateful that I had a cosplayer friend who was very kind enough to let me rent her costume. I felt extremely confident since her style is close to mine. Here are some of my favorite photos during that night.

A week after Hivelloween our company also threw a Halloween Special. This time around, I borrowed Ate Eve's Costume, Sailor Mars. When I arrived in the office I received huge compliments saying how cute I look like, which means a lot since I really took the time to perfect Sailor Mars. Ate Eve's costume didn't come with a wig obviously since she has naturally black hair, and I didn't want to dye my hair black. Thank God for having makeup artist friends because I was able to borrow one from one of them, huge props to Gab.

And the exciting thing was, I won as Best Halloween Costume for the female category!

Such a blast! I bought Ate Eve and my friend Gab milkteas after to express my gratitude for their help in making this possible.

Christmas Team Photoshoot

Mid-november, me and my team had a cute Christmas Photoshoot. Our theme was "White Christmas" so we were all asked to wear white. Some didn't get the memo lol, but the pictures turned out to be so good. These are some of the people I spend most of my time in the office with, never a dull moment with these guys. I am really thankful to be surrounded with people like them because it makes work not feel like work.

Ate Joyce's Bridal Shower

Last November 20, we threw a surprise Bridal Shower to our bride-to-be sister, Ate Joyce. My sisters and I planned this for a while, headed by Ate Rica and Ate Gwen. We had to get rooms at Bayfront Hotel in Capitol to pull off our surprise. We decorated one of which with cute decorations and filled them up with sweets.
We all hid in the Comfort Room while Ate Joyce and her friends were coming in the room then as soon as they were in, we all shouted Surprise, you guys should've seen her reaction. She was very happy with our surprise.

After a fun talk through cups of tea, we then had dinner at their Cafè. It was truly a fun night, they all went to a bar after but I didn't get to come since I still had to go to work. We can't wait for December to come since this is something Ate Joyce have always wanted to happen, and also we can't wait to wear our gowns which are all so cute lol.

Hosting an Inauguration

Just this Saturday, I had the highest honor of hosting such a meaningful event in my Alma Matter, University of Cebu Main Campus. It's my second time to host the Inaugural Rites for University of Cebu Council of Presidents. When they sent a letter of invite I was truly excited since it's been quite a while since I hosted anything as massive as an Inauguration. I had this outfit that I bought last year that I didn't get to wear since I never thought of the perfect occasion, and now I know why, it was meant to be my Inaugural dress.

It's a very formal event so I really tried to keep my side comments appropriate just enough to entertain the crowd without being too much. As soon as I step foot into the University's premises it truly felt nostalgic. I was one of the former Vice Chairmans of the council so to finally see these new set of aspiring student leaders made me very emotional. I hope that they will carry on with their positions with the utmost integrity and be of service to the UCian students.

Phew! What a ride this past month has been. I have a lot of events coming up so hopefully I get to have the inspiration to blog each of them individually. Again I apologize for being MIA. Know that my passion for expressing wasn't gone but rather was in hibernation. I will keep it a habit to start opening my phone and write something whenever I feel inspired to share a part of my story. If you have reached this part thank you for sticking with me, I know that I'm not the most consistent but having you guys still supporting me is just beyond mental.
