Winter soon after sunrise: December 13 2021
Friday 10 December 2021 about an hour after sunrise. The buildings opposite are often bathed in a golden glow as the sun rises, the sky was so clear and the clouds just very faintly pink.
My poor pollarded lime looks like a blasted tree for on Macbeth. It still threw out small branches covered in leaves this past summer. It seems you can be vilely cruel to them and they will still grow "like weeds".
It was a beautiful day, followed by frost and icy rain on Saturday and strangely today, the temperature rose and there was condensation on the outside of some of the windows. I hadn't seen that before.
Some more redundant furniture was collected on Friday, the pine bed frame found a new home, together with some old bookshelves and a TV unit. Still have three irons, though (long story) and, it seems today, three sanders - I don't know how that happened.
