My Actifit Report Card: September 16 2021

A haul from earlier in the summer from a shop that was closing down. Looking forward especially to knitting cotton socks.

A busy day cleaning the porch, amazing how long such a small space took! I guess the sorting out and decision-making is what takes the time. Next will be putting everything together for the charity shops. It will be lovely when it is only the things we use now.

Lovely there was cottage pie already made and in the fridge, too. Just needed to heat it up and add some fresh vegetables.

Only the garden room and the garage to do now. Then the garden hehehe.

I know! Lucky I was travelling on public transport and didn't have my car with me, so I could only buy what I could carry!

I was staying in a very cute little town in the south of England, I'd gone down for a family wedding and decided to add a couple of days to explore the area a bit. It was a beautiful shop, the kind that only relatively affluent towns can afford but it had struggled through the pandemic and decided to cut its losses.

They had some ex-display mannequins for sale, too, for only £20 each, with lovely wooden stands, I would have loved one of those for dressmaking. Not my size, but so much easier to fit some things when they are on a 3-D form, or just to look at drape etc. I should have dragooned my niece into fetching one for me!

Th cleaning is going so well, and getting to grips with the de-cluttering, too, that's the hard part. All these things ...
