"Me Time"

What is "Me Time"?

Me Time is a time when you are doing what you want where you want & for you. It doesn't matter if it's outside of the house or just relaxing by the pool as long as it's all about 'ME'.

Everyone Needs Some "Me Time"

No matter how young or old one may be, 'Me Time' is very important. Me time helps to destress & revive you. Even a child need to destress sometimes. A mother needs time away from the children and housework, spouses need time apart to do their own thing, even the best of friends need time away from one another. No matter who you are, there are times you need to just do you. There are times when you even need a break from Hive.

My 'Me Time"

I have several ways of enjoying me time. Although I am semi retired & getting older, I still enjoy 'Me Time' as often as I can. One of my favorite mottos is "Its All About Me"! I took on this attitude when I was in my mid-30's and have carried it with me ever since.

I have several hobbies I enjoy & do all of them as often as I can. While I spend at least 60% of my time on Hive, I also have to break away from that. Hive is a hobby as well as work, but when it get stressful I have to walk away.

To destress I like to just sit and play games on my tablets & phones. These are the games I play just for fun, no crypto or fiat involved.

Another thing I do is jigsaw puzzles. I can sit for hours putting together a puzzle.

I also love shopping. When funds allow, I will go out and just visit stores just to see what I can find. If I make a purchase, it something for me, usually something I don't buy on a regular basis. I'll get like a new dress (for no occasion) or some shoes or something I don't necessarily need. All because, "It's All About Me"!

There are times when I just sit & watch TV and think about nothing. I will either ignore or turn off my phone.

I take time to pamper myself, do my nails or feet or hair. Even give myself a full body rub.

Sometimes my 'Me Time' includes stress free work. Like when I decide that it's time for me to declutter my work space. I have a small house & about half of my living room is where I spend most of my time. My desk, sewing table, & TV are all in the space along with the materials for all I do & it can get quite messy sometimes. But when I declutter the mess, it relaxes me & just knowing that I'm doing it is relaxing. I sit down to do most of the tasks involved and there's no strenuous work involved.

'Me Time' does not always mean you have to be alone either. I have gone out with my children & do things that like shopping or dining out with them & it can be relaxing & fun too. Now that their grown, I get to spend time with them and 'do me' at the same time.

That's pretty much all the ways I can think of at the moment of how I spend my 'Me Time".
