This is a topic I've visited before and I will always ssay that when you've been on this earth as long as I have it's hard to narrow it down to just 4 favorites. I have 100's of favorites and today I share not only one that I always think of (seems like first) but I wnt into my mind of female R&B songs by women who made the top charts & remain. So these four are my choices for today.

Song #1 Before I Let You Go By Frankie Beverly & Maze (1981)

This song is always at the top of my list. I recently did a post for my Blogging My Way Series & this song is always the first thing to pop into my mind whenever I am asked to name my favorite songs. This song will get my pumping anywhere & anytime.

Song 2 Think (1968) By Aretha Franklin, 'Queen of Soul' this video is taken from her performance in the popular movie 'The Blues Brother'. I also love this movie.

Unfortunately Aretha Franklin is no longer with us. She reign as 'Queen of Soul' from the early 1960's to 2018 before she was called home to sit on her throne with the Lord. She left us with many years of delightful music that will never be forgotten. You can read about 'Aretha Franklin' here. This is just one of her many songs that falls into my favorites.

Song #3 I'm Every Woman By Whitney Houston,(1993) A remake of the 1978 edition by Chaka Khan was a very popular song that hitting the top 5 on the billboards. Whitney Houston was another great female artist with many top hits & although she herself is no longer with us (2012) her music will live on forever. This is just one of many of her songs that makes my favorites list. You can read all about 'Whitney Houston' here.

Song #4 Listen (2006) By Beyonce
I like this song because of the words mostly, to me they are sayin, listen to me, I know who I am and I can make my own decisions about my life and I'm not just goin to go along with what you decide. I appreciate that you got me here but I must be heard for me and not you. As if you know the popular movie 'Dreamgirls', which Beyonce was one of the stars you then know what the reference of this song is. It also graces very high on my lists of favorites.

Hope you enjoyed my selections.

That's my list for today.
