Minimalist Self-Portrait [SPA/ENG]

Hola, espero estén teniendo un lindo día. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes el proceso del último dibujo que hice, el cual me hace mucha ilusión porque tenía varios meses sin dibujar y afortunadamente, el resultado fue de mi agrado. Siento que me fue bastante bien, las ideas fluyeron y se unieron de forma natural, además los trazos quedaron chéveres pese a mi falta de práctica.

Hi, I hope you are having a nice day. Today I want to share with you the process of the last drawing I did, which makes me very excited because I had several months without drawing and fortunately, the result was to my liking. I feel that it went quite well, the ideas flowed and came together in a natural way, also the strokes were cool despite my lack of practice.

Por otro lado, me sentí un poco torpe mientras hacía el dibujo, en cuanto a la ubicación de las cosas y la posición de mi cuerpo, terminé muy adolorida. Para ser sincera, este suele ser uno de mis mayores problemas... La postura. Me concentro al punto en el que olvido sentarme correctamente, además, ya no cuento con el espacio que tenía acondicionado para dibujar.

On the other hand, I felt a little clumsy while I was doing the drawing, as for the placement of things and the position of my body, I ended up very sore. To be honest, this is usually one of my biggest problems... Posture. I concentrate to the point where I forget to sit correctly, plus, I no longer have the space I had set up to draw.

Este dibujo lo hice en mi cama, los marcadores se perdían entre mis sábanas y cosas por el estilo... Así que no, no es de extrañar que ocurriera algo como esto pero bueno, ya veré qué se me ocurre para solucionarlo. A decir verdad, yo había mejorado mucho en este sentido y era algo de lo que estaba orgullosa pero después de esto, es evidente mi retroceso. Por lo que hace falta que vuelva a cuidar todos estos detalles, para llevar a cabo mis procesos creativos de la mejor manera posible.

This drawing was done on my bed, the markers were getting lost in my sheets and things like that... So no, it's not surprising that something like this happened, but well, I'll see what I can think of to solve it. To tell you the truth, I had improved a lot in this regard and it was something I was proud of but after this, it's obvious that I've regressed. So I need to take care of all these details again, to carry out my creative processes in the best possible way.

Así que, trataré de organizarme mejor para la próxima vez y en caso tal, de vuelva a armar un espacio para hacer este tipo de cosas, les mostraré el proceso y parte de mi experiencia en otro post. Dejando esto de lado, quiero hablarles un poco de los elementos que se encuentran en el dibujo en si. Para este autorretrato, me basé en unas fotos que me tomé hace más de un año y están en mi Instagram, en aquel entonces había mucho rojo y naranja en mis fotografías, también negro, estás son tonalidades que me siguen encantando pero actualmente he ido haciendo poco a poco la transición a tonos pasteles y mucho más suaves, no tan saturados.

So, I will try to organize myself better for the next time and in case, if I do this kind of things again, I will show you the process and part of my experience in another post. Leaving this aside, I want to talk a little bit about the elements that are in the drawing itself. For this self-portrait, I based it on some photos that I took more than a year ago and are on my Instagram, back then there was a lot of red and orange in my photographs, also black, these are shades that I still love but currently I have been slowly making the transition to pastels and much softer tones, not so saturated.

Fue interesante volver a aquel entonces por un par de horas y recordar parte de un día aleatorio en mi vida. Yo quería dibujar y me pareció bien basarme en alguna de mis fotos porque tengo muchas, con estilos muy variados. He tenido el cabello de varias formas y es genial poder retratarme luciendo de maneras distintas, que al final, son piezas que forman parte de lo que soy ahora y me gusta poder plasmar eso en mis dibujos.

It was interesting to go back to that time for a couple of hours and remember part of a random day in my life. I wanted to draw and it seemed right to base it on some of my photos because I have a lot of them, with very varied styles. I've had my hair in various ways and it's great to be able to portray myself looking different ways, which in the end, are pieces that are part of who I am now and I like to be able to capture that in my drawings.

Yo adoro dibujar y no veía la hora de retomar este arte, el cual había dejado en pausa porque no me sentía igual, había perdido ese algo bonito que va de la mano con cada creación y preferí descansar en lugar de forzar las cosas, dediqué ese tiempo a otras actividades. Siento que fue la mejor decisión de todas, claro que llegué a sentir miedo y dudas con respecto a dibujar nuevamente pero eventualmente, todo cayó en su lugar.

I love drawing and I couldn't wait to resume this art, which I had left on pause because I didn't feel the same, I had lost that beautiful thing that goes hand in hand with each creation and I preferred to rest instead of forcing things, I dedicated that time to other activities. I feel it was the best decision of all, of course I got to feel fear and doubts about drawing again but eventually, everything fell into place.

Tengo mucho que decir y siento que estoy divagando un poco, me disculpo por eso pero es porque estoy muy emocionada y creo que se nota. Ahora sí voy a hablar de lleno sobre el dibujo, como podrán notar, había varios elementos y todos tienen su razón de ser, quiero hablarles un poquito sobre eso. Incluí las estrellas, los destellos y los corazones porque estas son precisamente las formas que están pintadas en mi espejo. Dibujé mi teléfono de aquel entonces, un Samsung A10S, el dispositivo móvil con el que empecé a crear todo mi contenido en Hive, el forro del mismo era dorado y el popsocket era blanco, tenía un gato gris de ojos verdes... Que no se parece en nada al que dibujé pero la idea era representarlo no que quedara igual.

I have a lot to say and I feel I'm rambling a bit, I apologize for that but it's because I'm very excited and I think it shows. Now I'm going to talk about the drawing, as you can see, there were several elements and all of them have a reason to be, I want to tell you a little bit about that. I included the stars, the sparkles and the hearts because these are precisely the shapes that are painted on my mirror. I drew my phone at the time, a Samsung A10S, the mobile device with which I started to create all my content in Hive, the lining of it was gold and the popsocket was white, it had a gray cat with green eyes... Which doesn't look anything like the one I drew but the idea was to represent it, not to make it look the same.

Los demás elementos, son bastante evidentes... No es más que el outfit de esa noche, una camisa negra sin mangas con un Mickey Mouse, un choker de cuentas negras, un suéter rojo (mi favorito) y unos Converse rojos. También hice el peinado de ese día, dos colitas y el resto del cabello suelto... Los mechones de enfrente son de otro tono porque solía tener descolorada esa parte del cabello. Y el rostro está en blanco porque sentí que se veía mejor así.

The other elements are quite obvious... It's just the outfit of that night, a black sleeveless shirt with a Mickey Mouse, a black beaded choker, a red sweater (my favorite) and red Converse. I also did the hairstyle for that day, two ponytails and the rest of the hair loose... The front strands are a different shade because I used to have discoloration in that part of my hair. And the face is white because I felt it looked better that way.

Usé una app llamada Easy Pose para buscar y a su vez personalizar una pose de referencia, esta app es súper buena y tiene un montón de funciones geniales que ayudan a entender mejor todo el tema de las poses, se las recomiendo. Para realizar este dibujo usé marcadores de colores a base de agua, un marcador permanente, un lapicero negro, pintura blanca y un palillo.

I used an app called Easy Pose to search and in turn customize a reference pose, this app is super good and has a lot of great features that help to better understand the whole topic of the poses, I recommend it. To make this drawing I used water-based colored markers, a permanent marker, a black pen, white paint and a toothpick.
