Thank You, 2021 | A Blessed Year
And we're finally here at 2022! After writing my goals for this year, of course, I wouldn't forget to write a gratitude post to say goodbye to 2021. Despite what our world is going through, I believe there's still some good left to celebrate and be thankful for. Look deeper and you'll find it.
I am grateful for deep breaths
I’m grateful for my health (Grateful! Grateful!)
I know tomorrow is uncertain & I know time is our greatest wealth
(Gratitude, Jason Mraz)
Some things I am grateful for last year...
☺ Health
Of course, the very first thing I have to be thankful for on 2021 was keeping myself healthy. Making it through the entire year alive and kicking without contracting the Covid-19 nor experiencing the suffering caused by it is already a huge blessing. I've only went out of the house a few times last year, including going out to get vaccinated. It may be boring for some but it is what it is. We won't bet our lungs and immune system just to show we aren't afraid and are protected by a higher being. I've been mocked by some for this and guess what? Some of them got the virus later on and even a few of their relatives didn't survive. Uh-oh. I'm starting to get negative vibes again! The lesson here is to do what you can to survive this pandemic. Gatherings and unnecessary activities can wait. Be patient.
☺ Digital Art Upgrade
I thought it would take a looong time before I could shift from a pen tablet to a pen display. I find it really difficult to make lineart with a pen tablet that's why I was really wishing to have a pen display instead but these monitors for drawing are much more expensive than a tablet. I'm just thankful I was able to have enough to purchase one last year, the one that I've been eyeing to get. It was the best decision to make drawing easier. It was also last year when I was able to draw the most with around 75 drawings and I thank my hands for doing a fantastic job to create that much art in one year and my mind for providing me awesome ideas.
☺ New People
While I have disconnected to some people last year, it was also during that time when I made new connections. Despite the pandemic and social distancing protocol, I was still able to speak to people. Thanks to internet! It's great to find people who share the same interests as mine. For the first time, I felt like a part of me is normal and valid.
☺ Hive
And why would I forget Hive? From evolving to a dolphin to seeing Hive fly to 3+ USD. All of us here were blessed in 2021 and will continue to be blessed this year. Aside giving me a space to share my thoughts and whatever I like, Hive has shown me a glimpse of hope and a bright and beautiful future. Oh, this is also the year I was able to onboard someone for the first time. Some people I tried to convince to join before just didn't have the interest for it. Well, I'll just focus on people who are interested with the blockchain.
Thank you, Hive, for adding a color to my life and being a safe space for me in this digital jungle! And of course, for the Hives and HBDs! :)
Gratitude is an important part of life. By being grateful, you'll start to appreciate life. And the more gratitude you let out to the universe, the more good luck comes to you. Believe that everything happens for a reason, and that everything you are going through is leading you to what's meant for you. You may not see it now but someday you will recall those difficult times and feel thankful you have went through it. Believe in the power of gratitude. :)
Thanks 2021!
Hive has really provided everyone with a new opportunity to pursue their dreams, and earn money from them. I'm so proud of what you've accomplished in 2021, to a more prosperous 2022!
You're right! Hive is truly a game changer for all of us. Happy New Year!!
It's true, 2021 wasn't all that bad. I'm glad you haven't caught the 'plague' and I hope you don't! I just recovered and it was miserable not being able to be close with my family especially! Here's to an abundant 2022!
P.S. I love the last gif! (Lisa is my bias)
Glad you made it! And good thing you did isolation to keep your family safe. :) My sister got the virus too last holiday, someone brought it home and everyone in their house got infected.
Oooh!!! I like Lisa too. I love her song Money. But my bias is Rose. hehe
My favorite song by them is Whistle.
I see. I like that song too 😄
It is a blessing 😁😁. My sister was infected with covid back on June 2021. The doctor even call me telling that she only has 50-50 chances of surviving. Thank god she make it through 🙏🙏
Happy new year 2022 to you. May 2022 be a better year for all of us 🙏🙏
I'm so happy your sister survived it! My sister was also infected last Christmas and just recovered this week. Guess we're lucky we have strong sisters! hehe Happy New Year too and wishing you the best this 2022!

Thank you for being an awesome ASEAN Hiver, I wish you a good 2022. So, my oldest daughter likes to make digital art in her Sketchbook app on her iPad. What is the main difference between a tablet and display for drawing? Do you feel the displays are much more accurate? I think soon she'll be ready for an upgrade of some kind if she keeps progressing.
Thank you! And thanks for creating this community. Happy New Year to you and your family! :D
Tablets are the standalone ones like the iPad whereas the displays are only like monitors where you can draw at. You have to connect it to a computer/laptop for it to work. But there are more programs you can use with displays because it's connected to a pc. Both are great and it just depends on the user. If you travel a lot, tablet is the best choice. :D I honestly want to get an iPad someday so I could draw anywhere I go. hehe
When it comes to accuracy..do you mean the color or the pen? I'd recommend Wacom for displays but there are also good and cheaper options like XP-Pen and Huion. The recent iPads are of course as accurate as the displays now. :) Good luck to your daughter! She's so lucky to be able to go into digital drawing at such a young age.
