New Year, New Beginnings | LOH #63

Happy New Year!

So 2022 is finally here but here I am just about to write my goals for this year. It was really among my plans to write about what I like to achieve on 2022 and so thanks to Artgirl for mentioning me and letting me know about this on going contest on Ladies of Hive community.

This week, the community is on its 63rd contest Ladies of Hive Community Contest #63, and I am mentioning @jeanbeltran, maybe she would want to join the contest too but there's only a few hours left.

I am someone who loves to plan and write down things, even though I don't accomplish majority of it, because it gives me a sense that I am a well-organized person when I am the extreme opposite. ✌️

Anyway, let's begin!!!

☺ Self-Improvement

My most important goal for this year and in the past years is to improve my inner self. Okay, also my appearance. You know, I've started using anti-aging products because the stress and sleepless nights in the past years is finally manifesting on my face. lol. Kidding aside, the best thing to target before I proceed to my other goals is to condition my mental state. Being the emotional Pisces with simian line cooped up in a slightly crazy environment, I just thank I am still sane. This year, I wish for a surge of motivation and confidence in my veins so I could do what I have to do including being consistently active and trying new things here on Hive. I want myself to become more assertive of what deserves me and deflect things that aren't without feeling guilty. I also strive to become productive and organized mentally and with the things around me. I wish for a clutter-free 2022!

☺ Improve My Art Skills

It's not like I didn't see any progress last year, actually 2021 was the time I've seen a great improvement on art, although there's still a gigantic room for me to improve on. Anatomy is my biggest frustration and next to it is coloring. I am also eyeing on jumping into other art stuff like nft and making some awesome pieces. I love art so much as it helped me express myself and connect with people.

☺ Start A New Hobby

As if drawing hasn't filled up my cup, I have seen and discovered stuff last year which piqued my interest and I'd be willing to waste my time on. These are... (drum roll)... roller skating and electric guitar. Oh my, I blame the internet and pandemic for making me lurk on social media more than ever and finding out about these things. I really want to try them but they're at the farthest on my goals this year since there are more important things, plus, it's quite an expensive hobby. But I feel these are super fun hobbies. Hopefully, I can make it come true this year!

☺ Start A Business

No, not the kind of big business you may be imagining. Just a small online business for me to dip my toe in and experience doing a business. I've had this idea since November 2020. What's holding me back most of the time is the process of experimenting and making the products. I doubt myself most of the time whether I can do it or not, but as they say, you wouldn't know if you don't try. What business is it? Well, it's not the time to say it but I will when it's finally pushing through. :)

☺ Learn How to Cook

I have to admit, I can't cook meals! Oh no! Oh no! I want to learn how to cook especially my favorite meals because being able to cook your own food is very important if you want to live independently someday. There are people who say you're ready for marriage if you already know how to cook. But no, no, no! My goal is only to be able to cook for myself. It may sound selfish but it's the main reason for me to do this. And marriage is not a cooking show. lol. Thank you.

And these are my goals for this year! I wonder which among these will I be able to accomplish. I'm excited! However, remember that it's not only during the start of the year you are allowed to make goals. You can create one anytime and start it anytime! Good luck to each of us!
